White cop, black teenager angle. He should've also been more aware of how his actions would be dissected and gone through afterwards.
I thought she was Hispanic, but either way.
Personally I don't find the need for any school official (yes a resource officer is a school official) to touch a student unless they're being physical already, and there's no current evidence of that. That being said, this was a completely disproportionate response, entirely.

He should be taking the same action for anyone regardless of how it will be seen. This was bad on any level.
