SE Announced "Avatarssssss" Which Top 3 Do You Predict?

Ive been sayin Phoenix was going to be the next avatar for years! Since I started CoP and realized all the avatars on the celestial calender is in some form of this game except phoenix. Also phoenix can be a light or fire summon, so they could make him the second light. Yojimbo? Naw they have no reference to him, no mention of him at all, no real way to use him. SE wouldnt do that, they are too clever. He would of been mentioned in some form.

Whos to say cait sith isnt gonna be a summon? IMO the storyline of WoTG poor little cat is being picked on, what if he asks for help then later rejoins you? I donno could be a thought.

where do they actually mention titan, garuda, shiva, ifrit, leviathan or ramuh in any of the story lines? the only mention of any of them i can think of are the npc quest givers. Yojimbo is as much a possibility as phoenix, as is the much talked about and anticipated bismark whale summon.
cait sith is diffinately a strong possibility too, but it would be a very strange avatar.

Notice the "haze" that surrounds avatars unlike any of the other mobs in the game. The only other thing so far that I can recall having that "haze" around it is that cavernous maws, which to me has said right from the first time I saw them that they were eventually going to be a summon. If SE has said that the new avatars would hold new roles rather traditional avatar roles then it would make sense too, Cavernous maw = a tele/warp/recall type ability for smns. 3rd reason why I would consider this a possiblity is because it would tie into the current expansion. That being said I think there is a possibility of an Ixion-type avatar as well. The current Dark Ixion doesn't have the "haze", (at least I don't recall it having it but I've only fought it once and I was on cor so i didn't get too close). However, if you recall sometime before WotG was released SE put out some sort of smallish story about a majestic beast called Ixion hanging out around the campagn battles or something. May have just been refering to dark ixion, but they made him sound a little too benevolent to be the dark ixion nm. Also, it was never refered to as "dark" ixion. As for a 3rd, I'd put my money on either Pheonix, (because it's raise/heal type abilities would definately be an alternative to the traditional avatars), or Odin, (no BP's just a one-shot chance to kill non-nm mob based on some wacked-out % formula created by SE).

LOl don't get your hopes up. they've been promising rdm updates for years now and specifically ones to move them to front lines for the last 2 fanfest and last time they were like oh yeah we were meaning to do that... and now look what we get a job ability that is useless in both solo and pt. And enspell2s which unless they do a decent amount more will do less dmg then a joytoy enspell1. And theyd have to do a ***ton more for me to even consider meleeing in pt let alone letting lolrdms to. At least smn got some good abilities/tweaks though certainly dissappointing in light of whm. And seeing as they didnt announce avatars in the job update for smn i doubt youll get one anytime before the next real expansion if ever. Besides theyd have to gimp them so much they just be a dissappoint and probably be weaker then the main 6 anyways

You can see the 8 celestial avatars in the sky charts though. You have Ifrit, Leviathan, Ramuh, Titan, Garuda, Shiva, and... *Drumrolls...*

The last two of the celestial avatars, probably have the best chance of being summonable imo.

Alexander I could see, but Odin broke free of his crystal, right? Not to say that those crazy tarus couldn't come up with some new-fangled device to harness his power and bring him into submission anyway... (Or Cid possibly.)

Then after them, Phoenix and Bahamut (highly unlikely) since they're the last two terrestrial avatars that aren't summonable yet.

i had forgotten all about the constellation chart. good catch^^ only problem is, it also features a moogle, tonberry, chocobo, vulture, bomb, behemoth and cactuar, but no carbuncle,fenrir or diabolos. whats interesting though is that all the avatars have a star that is colored in their constilation to there respectful element. this includes alexander and odin. again, nice catch :)

That's because they were referring to Auroral Alicorn, which usually hangs out in Jugner Forest [S]. I mentioned it as a possible summon earlier in the thread, though as it's a freelance I dunno if that will happen.

Like I said... They're "celestial" avatars. Carby/Fenrir/Diabolos/Phoenix/Bahamut are "terrestrial" avatars. Celestial = skys/heavens and Terrestrial = earthly.

The Terrestrial avatars were born of Vana d'iel itself to protect the world.
