SE announced "Avatarssssss" which top 3 do you predict?
If they don't add it with this coming update... I don't see it happening for a while, WoTG nation quests are being expanded and the first Crystalline Prophecy so if they actually want to introduce it they have the perfect settings. It's funny how noones thought of the idea that they could bring out a new one. Make their own one up XD.

This means that you'll need to be more aggressive; if you hang back at a distance, the enemy can keep hitting you from afar! Since you start on the street and the enemy has the high ground, Archers are not particularly useful here; they won't have a clear shot with their bows. On the other hand, Move +1 is a great ability to have as it helps you quickly close the distance between you and the enemy's ranged attackers. When one of your characters gets hit with a Black Magick spell, the characters in adjacent tiles also take damage. There are two ways to avoid this. While the spell is still charging, you can move the other characters out of the way, or you can kill the Black Mage charging the spell and stop the attack entirely! Since the spells do quite a bit of damage, it's great to take out the Black Mages as soon as you have the chance. They don't have much HP so you can finish them off easily. (Note that spells can also have a "friendly fire" effect -- if another enemy is in range of the spell when it goes off, they get hurt too! You can sometimes use this to your advantage by positioning targeted characters next to enemy units.) To check when the spell is going to be fired, press the Circle button when it's your turn, then use the Triangle button to bring up the menu and choose Turn List. If you have Black Mages of your own, you can also use these area damage effects to extend the effective range of your magicks. If the range of your magick is one tile too short to hit an enemy, you can target the tile directly in front of the enemy and the magick will still hit the enemy thanks to the area effect. This is a good tactic for hitting more distant enemies, like you see in this battle. Just make sure the enemy won't be able to move out of the way before the magick activates! Two of the enemy Archers are on the tall building beside where you start. At the beginning of the battle, Delita and Argath will begin climbing up the building to attack them. Let Delita and Argath handle those two Archers, and send at most one other character up the building. The rest of your team should advance down the street. Take out the Black Mages first since they can do so much damage. It's likely that one or more of your characters will get KOed during the battle. Remember that if the counter over their head goes below 0, you lose the character permanently. To avoid this, when a character's counter gets low (0 or 1), use a Phoenix Down on him or her. Even if another attack KOs the character again right away, the counter will be reset and you've bought yourself a few more turns to finish the battle. This is a pretty tough battle. If you don't win at first, try again, or build up your levels first. O.O There's no reason that they can't make up new avatars, it's not like every single avatar that has been in a FF game ever was in FF1, so obviously some games have had new avatars, why not FFXI? Having said that, I think any new avatars will be on this list:

It'd also be cool if it was something like Atomos, that you can only summon when you're outside (since it's so big) and/or Hades which would be the opposite since he's probably not a big fan of sunlight and would only come to you in dungeons. Probably won't be, but could be cool. I've not gone through the entire Server list, but aren't at least 75% of them named after old Avatars/Summons/GF's from previous Final Fantasy games?

We got two dark based avatars, we really should have a more badass light based one since we have a vicious wolf and a gigantic demon vs. a blue radioactive squirrel. Phoenix and Alexander and maybe Fairy look like the only ones to really fit that category.
Siren could be a avatar :)

How can you not see the difference? It all makes sense. 1- Alexander
2- Asura 3- Phoenix i suggest someone try to make a character with all the avatar names
if one of the summons name cannot be chosen.. its probably whats SE hiding.. i think SE will do siren cus they could just do like a garuda reskin kinda deal with some tweaks, bet the lazy gits do that :p
If its gonna be buffs based/different from other avatars it would probably be:
1.Phoenix: 2 Hr AoE Raise 3 or Big AoE Benediction for those not dead. Fire damage of course. Sylph/Faries: Buff/cure/light element based damage. Siren: Strong AoE Enfeebles such as Silence, Sleep, and Slow. Water or Wind Damage. Moogle: Summon Mog from FFVI woohoo. Watch him do some stupid dance, fall on his ***, and cure your party for a measly 50-100 hp. if one of the new avatars were to be phoenix, wouldn't SE have added it back in CoP like Diabolos? Don't get me wrong, it would be badass to summon up a fully party reraise, regen, or even refresh with Phoenix, but imo we would have it by now... then again i'm talking about a professional company at procrastinating, of which can never keep to a release date on their normal games, so why keep to promises made to it's signature job every year for 5 years running lol.
one cast summons would be cool, like KOTR. for that matter you could easily have the already in game mithra magus sisters as a run and kill stuff summon, along with Odin and Alexander and a few others (including the never in a wishlist forum named FFXII espers)that just wouldn't perpetuate, but would cost MP out the ***. I think they should make Smn more useful in xp pts >.> Everyone keeps telling me If I wanna lvl it to 75 I need to solo most of the way.
