All they have to do is say "you look like a rioter" or "you're in the wrong place" and yo *** gets kidnapped.
Yes, they let you go. and that IS technically legal. That in no way makes it ok.

remember the part where the DHS guys said that during the riots they have observers that spot the people committing a crime (like assaulting an officer or throwing the fireworks etc) then they monitor their movement then apprehend/arrest them when its more safe to do so

And the growing crowds in Portland has OFA written all over it. Now they aren't protesting police anything or BLM, they're literally just being mobilized to make a scene for bad Trump PR.

If that is so, it won't end well for the career protesters, period. They'll all be siting in jail waiting for their turn with the free ACLU lawyer while the rest of us go back to actually important things in life.

if a person is walking away from a very large angry gathering wearing full black + a helmet from 12am-6am then you're not a rando

Uh yes actually you are. Literally. If you're in a group and it turns into "a riot." You're not guilty of anything.

Theyre using fear to suppress citizens rights.
By volkom 2020-07-22 07:24:30
Which rights?

TLDR: Damage was done to federal property therefore any gathering of protestors is a riot.
Well, that is a textbook definition of a riot....
"The police are not here to create disorder, the police are here to preserve disorder."

And if there is no riot the federal officers will start one.

apparently the charred remains of someone was found in a pawn shop in Minneapolis thanks to the riots ~ guess we support burning people alive now. Kinda like what the
protesters
are trying to do to that courthouse with all those agents inside

No matter what actions the rioters take (not calling them protesters any longer being that the actual police brutality protesters went home long ago) these guys will defend it. They could carry a lifeless baby on a stick through the streets and they'd find meaning in it.

Bottom line, they are stuck in the, "Oh this is all for a good cause..." argument mentality. They seem to think people causing damage and physical violence isn't really causing damage or violence, because they've just been justifying it in their heads for weeks now, and they fear if they now admit "Ok, it's now become pointless" that means they are somehow admitting the whole thing was pointless.

The whole thing wasn't necessarily, "pointless." It's just, activists never know when to say when because it's in their nature. It's like job justification. If they ever admit whatever they were bitching about for decades actually gets fixed or better yet CAN'T get fixed, because you cannot change human nature, they'd have to put their signs down and actually join the rest of us in the sane world.

This one is actually a bit surprising, a judge actually siding with police these days.

Seems like there was a shooting in Austin last night during the peaceful protests. Crowd was marching and chanting in the street, car drove into them, opened fire. There is already one video out, gunshots are extremely loud.

This is the video, I'll put it in a spoiler tag, you don't see the victim get shot, but like I said, the gunshots are very loud.
By volkom 2020-07-26 12:25:24
to be clear ~

Quote:
In an update early Sunday morning, police said initial reports indicate the victim, an adult man, was carrying a rifle when he approached the suspect's vehicle. The suspect then shot out of their car at the victim, police said.

The suspect was detained and is cooperating with officers.

Does that automatically warrant for the person to shoot? Maybe not. Maybe the person felt threatened too. Let the police figure it out

https://www.yahoo.com/news/minneapolis-residents-forming-armed-neighborhood-124508528.html

Quote:
Minneapolis has seen a sudden rise in violence in the wake of the police-involved killing of George Floyd at the end of May.

In response, communities in the Minnesota city have started forming neighborhood patrols to deter crime, some of them armed, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Some Black Lives Matter movement leaders have proposed defunding the police as a means to prevent police-brutality incidents, taking taxpayer money from departments and funding other organizations that might be better equipped to deal with issues traditionally under the police's purview.

wonder if reducing police funding or having leaders in govt calling for police to be abolished along with negative portrayals of police in the news for 2 months has anything to do with encouraging people to commit crime because they know that many officers are discouraged to do their job or there is an increased response times. You'd imagine that total crime would be lower during the lockdown of the pandemic, so why is gun violence increasing?

IDK if Minneapolis is among them but in many jurisdictions police ate having "sick outs."

Poor little snowflakes get PTSD because they are no longer allowed to shoot "suspects" in the back.

I wish this was merely invective.

Assaulting non violent protestors, or even rioters, seems to be doing little to protect property.

As to *** ...

Except they don't.

You seem to paint a picture using a broad brush. There are more civilians who assault other civilians than police assaulting civilians. It can't even come close to comparision.

There are more people who assault other people per day than police who assault civilians per year.

It's actually sad that you think that police do nothing but murder and assaults...

18 rioters arrested, facing charges

Of course, some people are going to claim it was all unorganized, even though it was highly organized...

A good protest should be organized.

I have been in way too many that weren't and quite a few that were.

tbf tho ~ if protesters are preparing shields, gasoline and molotov cocktails they're looking for a fight not a protest. Unless you think that's normal armament for a protest that's suppose to be peaceful
