Funny. Ha. Also inaccurate.
If the whole election isn't settled by Jan 2, 2021 There is no congress. No house, no senate, and no speaker of the house.
If some house and senate races are concluded by the 2ed and others not only those who have won will be seated. The up in the air elections will seat no one. 2/3 of the senate is not up for re-election.
If there is no house in session the senate votes to elect a presiding officer*. They will vote by delegation not individually. CA gets one vote, WY gets one vote, etc.
With no house, and no speaker, the next in line is the presiding officer* of the senate and they can vote for anyone at all. President Hillary anyone? President Trump elected not by the people but the senate anyone?
*I forget the title, president pro tempore of the senate I think. Article 1, Section 2 and 3 of the Constitution says hi.
Quote: When vacancies happen in the Representation from any State, the Executive Authority thereof shall issue Writs of Election to fill such Vacancies.
The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature thereof, for six Years; and each Senator shall have one Vote.
Basically, if the elections do not determine the winner of the House/Senate, the states themselves decide who to send.

A. None of the charges against the Trump campaign were dropped. Paul Manafort is still serving his sentence, Robert Gates and George P. did their time. they nailed the guy at the top of the ladder, who is still in prison. Guess what, those guys are not at "the top of the ladder". Those are bit players.
LOL. I love this. Yet another attempt to downplay Paul Manafort's role in the Trump campaign. "Bit players?" Paul Manafort came into the Trump campaign, fired the campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, and ran the ENTIRE campaign from April-August. How does that equate to a "bit player?" Hint: It doesn't. There was no one higher than Paul Manafort. During that time on top of the food chain, he was constantly feeding the Russians information on the campaign. Robert Gates was his right hand man. The Republican Senate just finished up reporting all of their extensive contacts. You realize if Paul Manafort never gets hired by the Trump campaign, there probably was never an investigation. No "Russian collusion" no Russian interference, nothing. He opened the door for Russian interference and they walked right through it, for free. They never had to pay anything back. They offered things, and wow the Trump team was foaming at the mouth to get it, but they never had to come through.
Also no, I know Obama would never have interfered in an active FBI investigation. He didn't authorize it, help it, hinder it, nothing. The conspiracy that he signed the FISA warrants came from your side, btw. The Senate also detailed the hesitancy Obama displayed to insert himself into the Russian interference, for fear of influencing the election.
You are making this too easy. Really enjoyed the "bit players" claim.

You know, last I checked, the "top player" of a campaign is usually the candidate. Also note that Manafort, by your own admission, was not running "the entire campaign" as the campaign didn't end in August. Last I checked, it is still going on, 4 years later.
But yeah, keep thinking that Trump was arrested and sentenced for...whatever crime you think he committed. That is your entire argument there.

B. Obama and Biden still had nothing to do with the investigation into the Trump campaign, nor the convictions that came as a result of it. They didn't direct it, authorize it, help or hinder it. Obama didn't sign any FISA warrants, (I always liked that one), wiretap Trump Tower, or anything else. No one spied on the Trump campaign. Obama may not have personally signed the FISA warrants, they were signed by the judges on the court (I guess you don't know anything about judicial process, chalk that up to your ever growing list of topics you have zero clue about). But you are absolutely wrong about them not "authorize/helped" it. They were both briefed on it, I already shown you that. If they didn't want it to continue, don't you think they would have stopped it at the briefing? Also, who was it who brought up the Logan Act again? Oh right, it was Biden.... So being briefed on a process = authorized that process now?

For that mater tied elections aren't vacancies either.
Do you remember Al Franken's 2008 run?
Quote: On January 6, 2009, Coleman's campaign filed an election contest, which led to a trial before a three-judge panel.[66] The trial ended on April 7, when the panel ruled that 351 of 387 disputed absentee ballots were incorrectly rejected and ordered them counted. Counting those ballots raised Franken's lead to 312 votes. Coleman appealed to the Minnesota Supreme Court on April 20.[67][68][69] On April 24 the Minnesota Supreme Court agreed to hear the case.[70][71] Oral arguments were conducted on June 1.[70][72]
On June 30, 2009, the Minnesota Supreme Court unanimously rejected Coleman's appeal and said that Franken was entitled to be certified as the winner. Shortly after the court's decision, Coleman conceded.[73] Governor Tim Pawlenty signed Franken's election certificate that same evening.[74] Six months of an undecided election. Governor can't even appoint a placeholder until the election is settled.

Also, I have a post graduate degree in snark. Please remember this in the future.
Need to get a refund, you can't even pick up on obvious sarcasm when it's used. And no, you're post really didn't look like you were disapproving of the FBI altering email in order to get a FISA warrant. It just looked like you were saying, "Meh, cops do it so.../shrug" but I stand corrected, why I asked.

So after 4 years of Democrats, liberals and their media doing everything they possibly can, including lying to America, lying to Congress, ignoring actual crimes by Democrats that the government didn't create and altering emails to illegally obtain FISA warrants, social media apps and our media suddenly care about someone possibly attempting to delegitimize elections results that have not yet occurred.
I won't be surprised by anything the rest of my life after what the Democrats and our putridly biased media have done this past 4 years.

Like when Melanoma plagiarized Michelle Obama's speech? lol
The one thing Trump and his turds kept trying to push is the supposed decline in Joe's cognitive abilities. His speech proved quite the opposite. So much for that narrative.
...and even aside from that it will be nice to have a president that can handle daily functions such as drinking water, walking down a ramp, and taking the hand of his beloved wife. I don't see Jill pushing away Joe's hand like Melanoma did with the Trump.

Also wouldn't surprise me if he took a speech from somebody else and claimed it as his own.

lol....
-use new concepts, ideas, and words- get accused of flipflopping.
-use consistent phrasing and even be pushed to ensure no contradictions can exist by parsing your previous words- get accused of plagiarism.
Oh by the way- it can't be plagiarism if its your own words.

dude Ravael, I couldn't agree more that Joe Biden is in many ways the "perfect" politician, in the most horrible sense of the word.
He's a shell to be filled up with talking points of his benefactors and backers. Still shocks me 12 years later that Obama picked him as a running mate- or maybe he was fed Biden by advisors and such to make the ticket more palatable to swing voters.
And thanks for the info regarding his statements coming from other politicians- my comment, while using Biden as an example, was more a lament about how there's no way to GROW in today's world. One can't be a 22 year old bigot and over decades of enlightenment be a 44 year old human without some old tweet, email, or posting rearing its ugly head in the face of your growth. That change doesn't matter any more...yet we also destroy people for NOT changing. There's no winning. Then again, that's the goal- trap everyone with their words so they're afraid to ever say what they mean, and we end up with polite-speak that really says nothing.

I cannot agree with this more, I truly can't and I am not being facetious in any way.
The problem is (and before this ticks of partisan speech think about it for a second), liberals are the ones who really started this, "cancel you if we find something you said bad 20 years ago" thing, well, the liberal media and mostly liberals on social media specifically. THEN, conservative groups such as Project Veritas and some less than savory characters like Mike Cernovich (the guy who started resurfacing James Gunn's terrible attempts at humor 10 yrs ago on Twitter that got him booted from the Guardians of the Galaxy series) decided to, "fight fire with fire" so to speak, then liberal celebrities and Democratic politicians started to get sucked into the leftist "Warp Hole of Judgment" as well.
It's liberals that set these lofty standards of past and present conduct and love to research every time a conservative person asked a woman to lunch at work and she felt it was inappropriate five years ago, so they just started getting it back at them. Perfect example, Al Franken. Even though politically I only agree with his stance on animal welfare and environmental issues, I thought it was insane that he lost his position due to some maybe, kinda inappropriate photos he took of him fake-groping that hot chick, Tweeden (she even came out and said she didn't think he should be fired) but, since the Bret Kavanaugh hearings happened just a little under two months prior to this, the left had gone whole hog into the #believewomen crap, they had no choice but to offer up Franken as a sacrificial lamb for, "the cause."
I could go on but, there's no point. Cancelling someone because of something they said on social media ten years ago (unless it was like, supporting something atrocious like...kiddo pr0n or something) it's nuts but, it's the culture created by the leftist social media army...so now everyone HAS to be held to the same insane standard and if they aren't, it's utter horseshit.

nypost.com is a tabloid. It's as if you cited the National Enquirer, same type of "source." Even if it were credible, it doesn't show plagiarism. There's a similarity, but it certainly is not a copied speech.
For him in general? Why not?
Same as above, but a worse source. There is a great site that helps to determine the credibility of a source, and Just The News posts a lot of false stuff.
Want more? Here's a source you won't disagree with.
Yes, that is much better as far as sources go. I'm still not seeing anything about his 2020 speech being an act of plagiarism.
Slightly biased, but better than most. They still use a lot of sources that fail fact checks. Same as above though, nothing in there about his 2020 speech.
Biden's plagiarism is common knowledge. Only the hardcore reality deniers will say otherwise.
Okay, let's go with your narrative. Let's say Biden is an absolute plagiarist. Question is, do I want a man in office that plagiarizes, or do I want a man in office that downplays a worldwide pandemic for months causing unnecessary deaths of 1000s of Americans, my cousin's husband being one of them?
Hmmm? I'll have to think on that one.
By volkom 2020-08-23 10:13:24
That's a very oversimplified comparison on who you're deciding to vote for. And yes it's sad that's theres 1000s of unnecessary deaths but the blame (however much you want to believe) is not 100% Trumps fault. For starters we can blame China for creating the virus, and for providing false info to the WHO. We can blame the WHO for a lot of their crap handling of the virus globally. We can blame past govt administrations for basically incentivizing pharmaceutical companies and other essential medical supplies to be manufactured over seas. We can praise Trump for early Travel bans and getting many manufacturers to build medical supplies but we can blame him for s lot of rhetoric. Idk if the downplay is intentional as to not cause public hysteria but I rather have someone in charge being optimistic. We can blame many governors on their handling of the virus in their states. We can blame all the citizens for not following the guidelines. And the list goes on. I'm sorry for your loss however I dont think you can blame trump for it entirely. Also probably not a good idea to post personal stuff like that.

Hmmm? I'll have to think on that one. A) So, are sources you disagree with facts I don't like then?
B) Good, you disagree with "Just the News". Your disagreement is only to do with them being right of center. Not because of what they reported, but because of their biases. My question is, so?
C) There is a reason why the WP piece had nothing to do with Biden's 2020 convention speech. Want to take a guess at it? Hint: Check the date of the article.
D) Again, you are basing your opinion on biases of the sources, not the story itself.
Why can't you, for once in your life, read the articles in question? Are you afraid that you might learn something? Or are you so ingrained in your own biases that you will always refuse to look at anything that is to the right of your political beliefs?
Do yourself a favor and stop being so ingrained in your own selfish notions. There is a reason why you are so linear in your arguments.

Hmmm? I'll have to think on that one. Did he downplay it? He took the advice of medical professionals, declared the pandemic as a national emergency, did everything in his power to combat it, and ended up doing something he most certainly did not want to happen, which is destroy the economy for a short period of time.
Or do you want draconian, fascist governors dictating how you shall live and how you shall die? Like Cuomo, whose policies essentially killed over ten thousand Americans in his own state. Or Newsom, whose policies have helped killed tens of thousands of people not related to COVID due to his draconian policies in place, even today. (I can't wait for you to attack that source as biased)
Trump has done all he can to combat the virus, and you expect him to wave a magic wand to make it all disappear, and demonizing him for not having that magic wand that doesn't exist.[/quote]

Also the fact events such as epidemics are technically more in the laps of state's responsibility and not national governments in a republic, but.
If we are going to blame Trump for rhetoric, then we have to investigate his target audience that may even care what his opinion is. For example, it's been firmly established by the medical community (supposedly) that at least Wave 2 of the outbreak was mostly caused by young people, ages 30 and younger. Of course, the media focused on bars as opposed to the (approximated in several sources) the 15 - 20 million people who've joined protests the past 4 months, but even those crowds are dominated by youth. Last I checked, "young" Americans tend to be majority liberal, by all polls and studies. So, they aren't listening to Trump. If they go clubbin' (figuratively and literally) without listening to social distancing suggestions and mask suggestions, that's not on Trump or his rhetoric. That's on the traps of youth.
By Viciouss 2020-08-23 11:31:31
Not only has Trump repeatedly downplayed the pandemic on an everyday basis, he continues to try to cite things he did 7-8 months ago as some sort of accomplishment. He took it semi-seriously for maybe a month, and thats it. He was over it, he wanted to move on. Unsurprisingly, his supporters are trying to do the same thing and its not working for them either.
He has no plan to combat the virus. His narrow "travel ban" did nothing in February, and it certainly isn't doing anything now. Why does he still talk about it? The virus is here, its not going anywhere, why even mention his "travel ban?" Its completely irrelevant, yet we constantly hear about it.
He actively fought against wearing a mask for 8 months. He inspired a mask denier movement throughout the country, for absolutely no reason other than his ego. He has worn a mask what, one time while around people? We see reports everyday of mask deniers out there stirring up trouble. He has pushed fake, unproven treatments, even claimed to have been taking said fake treatment, (still don't believe him) despite not having covid. Again, no reason for it. He is constantly attacking his own people in the FDA, CDC, the WH task force, because there is no miracle cure.
His repeated attacks on testing has led the the actual state of testing to fall way, way behind. Not only are fewer tests available, it takes 4-5 days for people to get their results. Thats been his goal, claim that if we stop testing we get fewer cases. Thats definitely a policy designed to save lives. He has no plan, other than hope it will just one day miraculously vanish into thin air. Its a covid election, and Trump's efforts have been horrible.
