Part of me was hoping my gear would mainly be in Wardrobe 1+2, turned out not to be the case.
BLU is so OP it doesn't need gear.

More than a thousand tracked free to play logins yesterday, the first day.
There really is something to be said about just how many characters get deactivated until they're free. And that the first thing they do is load up the AH.

Being that time again, I checked the database (almost) every day since the last free to play. Surprising in that it basically went right back to where it was, no drop. (too many bots lol)
It was 88k before the freeplay, 114k at the peak and back to 88k
You can see all the sales that happen during the free to play stay tracked so the active pop stays higher than it really is for a month after the end.

This is most likely an issue with a windower addon, try launch vanilla to get past it. There is also an issue with Amelias mods from his ytoutube channel that can cause a crash in bastok mines if you use those and that's the problem.

I think they are doing it to return to a sense of normalcy after last year's event cycle was basically interrupted by the pandemic. Actually, they pretty much missed an entire Bonanza cycle. This will put them back on the February > May > August > November cycle for things again.
February, May, and August of 2021 so far. I expect the news headline any day since it's been about 90 days. Due to the pandemic, in 2020 the latest was the following:
Return Home to Vana'diel Campaign 2020 - Friday, December 25, 2020, at 12:00 a.m. (PST) to Monday, January 4, 2021, at the same hour.
Their last 2019 late one was:
17th Vana'versary Return Home to Vana'diel Campaign - From Friday, November 8, 2019, at 12:00 a.m. (PST) to Monday, November 18, at the same hour.
They may hold off on pulling the trigger until after Christmas so kiddies will have some of that extra Santa scratch to blow on actual subscriptions though, but November would put them back on a 4x / year proper schedule.
