"Johnnys" lol....I love the ending theme too!!!! ya the movie is going to be tooo good :D A kind of different anime that I recently found is Hajime No Ippo. It follows the career of a kid who starts boxing after he meets a pro boxer. Another one of those "hard work will get you through almost anything" anime. Its worth checking out imo.
Sailor Moon ONRY!!!!!!
ONRY!!!! SAMURAI CHAMPLOO
I did CTRL F on all the pages and found no champloo. There must be champloo! Thegiftedmonkey said: Eden of the East must have flown very far under my radar. I've seen a few people mention it so I guess that shall be moved up in the watch list. *EDIT* To people who have watched, [gg] or Frostii? Also, yes, Champloo is lurve. Dasva said: Ludoggy said: Sammitch said: but the second season ONLY if you become a hardcore fan because of the "Endless Eight" arc. Time loops, you watch the same episode eight times. It is literally a chore to watch. I am not joking. [Maybe just watch the first, second, and last episodes of the arc?] ok...I'm getting more and more interested in this endless eight... actually yeah me2. So its like groundhog day? It's like Groundhog Day, minus the wacky antics. They do the same things, have the same conversations, they even realize they're inside the looping time the way way and have the same conversations about it. Truthfully I've only gotten through 4/8, but given the level of outrage about the season it is said that it doesn't change until the end of the last episode. I'm waiting for a period of time when I have absolutely nothing better to do to watch the last half of the arc. Valafar said: Thegiftedmonkey said: *EDIT* To people who have watched, [gg] or Frostii? I've never had experience with Frostii, but [gg] left a bad impression when I got Geass R1 from them. Usually crude speedsubs with many lost-in-translation phrases/jokes, not to mention random messages left in by the group themselves and at times overlapping sentances. On the upside, they are fast - if you're desperate to see something or not bothered about exact translations/quality, they do get the job done. Perhaps they've improved since, but I can't say I went back to them for any releases to see. Exactly why I asked. Back when I was following Code Geass during its airing [gg] was burning me pretty good on the bad quality. I'll just grab both and compare the first episode of the two. Time to bust out some movie choices hearing Samurai Champloo. Sword of the Stranger <3 BONES Afro Samurai and Afro Samurai: Ressurection Best Gundam to date imo. Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team 13 episode OVA. Steamboy Metropolis Princess Mononoke (Along with most of the other Studio Ghibli movies, but this is my favorite) Seriously find it hard to believe that nobody has even noticed "Rah Xephon"
Deep thought, beautiful animation, mind blowing awesome story. It's like Evangelion meets Chrono Trigger and Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy all met in the middle somewhere. Definitely, by itself, is better than Evangelion (imo). Anyone able to decipher my last post?? Just throwing this onto the stack after watching last night, but Taka just started subbing a new series called "Fairy Tail" that I thought was pretty good for the first episode. Looking forward to seeing more.
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy_Tail - http://www.takafansubs.com/ Plus it has this awesome little guy: Any new stuff anyone feels like sharing? Fairy Tail is being done at a snail's pace and the only other stuff I watch weekly for now is Shippuuden and FMA: Brotherhood. Picked up A Certain Scientific Railgun recently, but it seems to be mostly just little girls/slice of life stuff with an ounce of *** kicking thrown in. None too crazy about it, but only 2 episodes in .D8

something recently i have been watching is genshiken its really funny. My personal favorites in no particular order:
Animatrix (hate if you want, some were very very good.) Ninja Scroll (lots of ninja, strangely.. not too many scrolls.) Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (twilight, eat your heart out) Appleseed (futuristic Xenophobia is interesting stuff) Princess Mononoke (no description needed) The Guyver (MEGA SMASHER!!!one111!!) hmmm yes.. good stuff. They doing OVAs for shakugan no shana which are interesting as well as the spoof stuff and eventually a season 3
If you're an action anime fan and you've never seen ninja scroll stop what you're doing now and go watch it. also beware.. there is nudity and some.. well.. just watch it :P
Thanks for the recommendations! Can't ever really find a good source for the Ninja Scroll series, unfortunately.
Has anyone seen or heard of Darker Than Black? It's in its 2nd season now I believe; considering giving it a shot. Wait they making a 2nd season of Darker than Black!?! Holy shi.... dling now

I'll have to check out that Darker than black it sounds interesting. Damn slow dls. Season 1 of Darker than black was pretty awesome. Kinda annoying watching it as it came out cause you needed to see the next episode. Especially with the way the episodes kinda came in 2s. Like 1 would start something and another would finish. Kinda like Beebop did a bit but like all the time. Been meaning to rewatch it for awhile now guess I got a good reason lol
Hmmm I can't believe I've not seen this thread before e_e
Rah Xephon as a previous mention, was a bloody great series Evangelion - probably my all time favorite, but I'd skip ep24, 25 of the series and watch the movie (End of Evangelion) instead! Peacemaker Kurogane - 2nd favorite series, not many people have heard of this, but it's friggen awesome Gintama- has had me bust out laughing way too many times, definately worth the watch, epsecially since it makes fun of other anime hehe Scrapped Princess - 24~25 ep series, really wonderful storyline Anything from Studio Ghibli... oh! Ged Senki -Tales from Earthsea too! I believe it was directed by Hayao's son? Masamune Shirow's stuff, Dominion Tank police and Appleseed as a noteable mention, Black Magic Mario M66 too!! *thinks some more e_e* Fist of the north Star was great back in the day, if you've not watched it I urge you too hehe, but please be warned that you might try to karate chop your pets after prolonged exposure while making more strange chicken-like sounds than Bruce Lee Lucky Star - why the hell not! D Gray Man - <3 um.... Blade of the immortal! though I can only find 13 episodes of this series out at the moment!! :( Waiting eagerly for the remaining 12. If you've read the Manga you may really enjoy this series, shortlived but they managed to capture a lot of Manji's rough-side hehe I think I will leave it there for now XD I have lots more.... but this is my favorites by far^^; Asura.Israfel said: Hmmm I can't believe I've not seen this thread before e_e Rah Xephon as a previous mention, was a bloody great series Evangelion - probably my all time favorite, but I'd skip ep24, 25 of the series and watch the movie (End of Evangelion) instead! I know that I am impatiently waiting for "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance" to come out on DvD. I wish I could have seen it in theater... but Japan is a bit far ^^;
I really loved "Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone", good reboot of the Neon Genesis Evangelion series. It's great if you enjoy Mecha stuff. Seraph.Caiyuo said: I'd heard the same previously, how they'll repeat episodes from different perspectives. DtB's 2nd season's actually pretty good (at least imo). Only thing I have to say is the excessive "rori mahou shoujo-ish transformation" sequence we get here and then >.> Of course, this isn't out of the norm in anime's. I just find it... awkward when watching it with friends/family lol. As for Railgun, it's a prequel/sequel (I'm sure it's a prequel, but I think it could end up as a sequel, meh) of Toaru Majutsu no Index (nice show too, give it a shot if you're into the kids with superpowers type genre). Lot's yuri action though (YES!) For latest trend in the anime world, try this. If you look at the seeders/ul it's usually the most popular show of the season (even if you hate it). Oh didn't realize they finally did the index spinoff thingy. Idk I like baka updates better really or even scarywater. At least for the stuff that I'm not getting from specific fansubbers I like
