NPR/Marist poll: how much do you trust the media? a great deal/not much Overall: 29/69 Voters: 32/66 Dems: 60/38 GOP: 8/92 Indies: 26/71 Trump supporters: 4/95 Democrats are the ONLY ones who still believe the media. Everyone else has figured it out. If you cringe at the phrase “facts I don't like” its because you are in the small minority of people who still believe the facts I don't like for its appeal to your owm confirmation bias. I remember the south park episode where they investigated 9/11 and the boys were shocked that 1/4 people believe in the conspiracy. To which kyle was like “yeah dude” 1/4 people are retards. Libs have become the conspiracy theorists. The reat of us know better. Wait, didn't nausi post 3 different links to Sean Hannity/John Solomon and Tucker Carlson just the other day? Three guys that run conspiracies everyday? Yeah, so much for that.
And lets not forget the fake twitter links about Rep. Omar, who was in Morocco for 5 days, yet nausi tried to post a link claiming she wasn't, twice. Needless to say, that projection didn't work at all.

If 95% of journalists are left wing pundits in disguise pushing left wing biases, then alternative and independent news has a systemic advantage in its accuracy, because they are reacting to propaganda and not constructing reality.
Lefties are simply getting swept up in their own echo chamber. Righties must sift through that echo chamber as part of their existence. That already puts them on an entirely higher tier of analysis.

Interesting note is that there are many conservatives in this area, they just don't openly advertise themselves as such but do have private side discussions.
