they made rema farming in general easier

Perhaps but I log in early, finish the last 3 VNMs for this trial within 10 min. Go trade my weapon to the moogle, he says "You've done well" then says I have to dispose of my weapon to get a new one" then returns it to me.

Emaint right now to fix that, they managed to break it.

Remember when they didn't have emaint after every single update.

Nope. I don’t remember that.

Also, isn’t it about time that SE opens up the 4th Salvage zone for a 1 hour time limit. It’s annoying to have to wait a full Earth day for the ToM on certain mythic trials.

Or give those weapons a different zone boss.

You're gonna wait and like it!

I think they should've just respawned the last boss 2 extra times with no drops, as a logical way to fix that particular issue. Or simply change the trial to kill it once.

Just a *** move for those mythics when there are many easy fixes

I remember when they didn't EMaint each patch but probably should have. We had a good month, Sneak attack working from the front.

Seems that I can't login my SE account because I don't have valid character data. I guess that means they broke their lolforums too.

Quote:
Since the valid character data is not present on your PlayOnline ID that is linked to your Square Enix Account, you are not allowed to log in to the forums.

Even if the monthly fee is paid and a valid content ID is available, a valid character data needs to be present.
Once the character is created, you will be eligible to log in to the forums. However, it may take some time until the character data is reflected to the system.

Edit; They either fixed it right away or the login button is acting weird since it worked fine when I didn't use said button

What's the difference between the billing date and the subscription date? I can't tell if SE is about to try and bill me for 3-4 days or 14ish days if I add wardrobes.

If I recall correctly, that was well over 10 years ago, correct? And I *think* some people thought it was neat and was exploiting it (maliciously and/or non-maliciously?) and were banned as a result?

It was during the first 3 Abyssea zones. I know I did it to farm that RNG neck from Mananananagal or w/e the *** it’s name is. Not sure to what extent people were abusing it to get banned though.

Cure doing max dmg on undead was when Abyssea was all the rage. The servers were not up long and they took it down and patched it. I do not recall people getting banned for that one, although I do recall a LS mate mentioning something was wrong when Mictlantecuhtli, I think, fell over after casting cure on it.

During that time, it seemed like after every maintenance, we had an Emergency maintenance.

I'm pretty sure the cure bug lasted at least a few days before they fixed it.

There was also the flee-speed Mazurka bug that lasted a bit.

I like how they cherry pick what to ban people for in this game. Someone stumbles upon some clever mechanic or means of doing something without 3rd party help and they get banned while others get an NM locked in terrain and get applause for "being clever".

Getting mobs locked in bad pathing is also (supposed) to be a bannable offense

Our group had a lot of "fun" Pinning Krabkatoa and Ruthvan

They did make an official post that it was bannable. (don't ask me to find that post though lol)

Most of those people got banned, even if it took a while before SE took action.

Not the ones from AV. I was there and remember it like it was yesterday due to how "wtf..." it was when SE gave them applause for "clever use of game mechanics". But here we are, people can stumble upon something and presto, banned as if they were trying to cheat the system. Its hard to tell sometimes if something is deliberate or not.

Patch it and admit "this was not intended" but bans are sometimes too extreme. And I say this as a 30 year moderator and got more requests to "ban that guy" than I can recall.

Mattelot is correct, people from the "Wall of Justice" did not get banned. GMs were contacted during the roughly 30+ hour stint and at that time using terrain was not against the ToS.

With that being said SE has defiantly done some questionable things when it comes to bans in the past.

That was only at first. SE reversed their decision a short time later and started banning people that continued to abuse it against AV. A decent number of acquaintances of mine on Sylph got banned for it.

Then there was that case of the guy who was the victim of racial remarks on their 14 forums. The guy making the racial remarks got away scot-free and the guy getting them got banned for disgreeing with someone.

Makes-no-sense ban but I heard someone say before that they're moderated by a 3rd party company... could be BS.

Client hard crashes if you check MH(or any other storage) before bags are loaded and move cursor to the right side bag. Someone with an OF account may want to report that.

Going from "Awesome job, guys, that was very clever!" to "We're going to ban going forward" makes one look very incompetent. Why was it ok for him to do it but not me now?

And that's only one of many times they've been very questionable.

We’ve opened up a previously blocked-off area of Crawler’s Nest [S] and placed some exemplar point and job point-granting monsters there. These monsters are a bit easier than the ones you may be used to in Promyvion and Alzadaal, so hopefully players of varying gear levels will find the perfect camp for them.

previously they said we were getting camps in Crawlers' Nest [S], but I don't believe they mentioned this bit. looks like we're getting this whole part of the map, which is currently unreachable in [S]

kind of cool we're getting not only new camps, but an entire section of a zone we haven't been to. granted, we have in the present, but wonder aesthetically it will be the same rest of the past zone, or if it's a literal copy paste of the present's map(likely minus the Strange Apparatus area). and if it isn't just a copy paste, might also wonder if it was developed long ago in the off chance this area was needed at a later time, or if they just did it recently

I'm not on my PC right now, but I'm guessing if you loaded up the zone dat file for CN [S] you'd probably find the whole zone exists and always has.
