Back after a brief hiatus! I played right up until right around when the Ratri (su3) stuff was introduced so I have that on my list of things to get...still only @ 200JP so I got a little work to do anyway.

Suggestions on how I can improve my kill speed on apex crabs in Dho Gates? I am doing a 4 step dark chain of Insurgency > Cata > CR > Cata and it does a good enough job, just feel like my damage is a little lacking. Usually fluctuate between 5k-11k on the Insurgencies/CRs.

Going with Yoran/Koru/ShantottoII/Ulmia/Joachim. Am I approaching this properly? Idk if switching over to bats from crabs would be better...

Valorous Head has some STR/ACC/ATK and WSD+2, the legs I can't seem to get WSD on but they do have STR+15/Acc+14/Attack+28 which was decent enough to keep for now until ratri.

I didn't really try crabs, but bats were nice and squishy. I soloed like 400 cp a day during a campaign on them. lol. I don't recall the npc setup I had since it's been a few months since I quit this time around. I'm not sure how the darkness chains would fair on them either. Rag's double lights made them cry though.

Question about Founders Breastplate, since DRK gets a 10% trait and Arcana circle with Ignominy Sollerets +1 means an extra 17% for a total 27%. Does that mean Founder's Breastplate is a 13.5% damage increase and 13.5% damage reduction when wearing it?

Only on non-NMs; on NMs, killer traits are nerfed, so you only get (5% + 11%)/2 = 8%.

there really isn't much improvement to be had. i don't use karieyh and don't typically do any numbers on it since it's not a big enough increase to warrant caring about it. as for brutal, you could use lugra +1 at night if you really felt like it.

-This is a rework of my post from page 134.
-Sets do not include Telos/Regal/other things I don't have yet.
-Liberator sets include extra accuracy to compensate.
-Using 5 Ankou Mantles for different situations.
-Accuracy values taken with no buffs on /sam.

Odyssean Gauntlets (WS) >> Replaced by AF Hands +3.
Stikini Ring for Absorbs >> Replaced by Kishar Ring.
Excelsis Ring for Drain/Aspir >> Replaced by Archon Ring.
K'ayres Ring & Meridian Ring (spikes/souleater) >> Replaced by Moonbeam Ring x2
Gracile Grip, Kentarch Belt +1, and some Valorous >> Replaced by Utu Grip.
Valorous Mask & Flamm. Gambieras +1 (Reso) >> Replaced by Argosy Head & Feet +1s.
Impatiens >> Replaced by Sapience Orb.
Valorous Greaves (TP) >> Replaced by Flamma +2

Special Equips

The following equips are used in niche situations:

-Relic Head +1/Empy Legs +1 for Dark Seal/Nether Void.
-Ankou's Mantle for Last Resort duration.
-AF Feet +3 for Arcane Circle.
-AF Hands +3 for Weapon Bash.
(Gives a chainbound effect similar to Wild Flourish)
-Twilight Helm/Mail for Auto Reraise.
-Twilight Cloak for Impact.

Hello DRKs , i havent seen anyone talking about Raetic Scythe +1 . Since mp wont be a problem throwing Entropy in between spamming Cross reaper. Would it beat Anguta?

For those numbers, note that the Raetic +1 weapons are slightly overvalued, because I thought at the time that the STP was on every hit, instead of only on the first hit each round, so the actual gap between Anguta and Raetic +1 is a bit smaller.

Also, those numbers are inside Escha, during double HP/MP vorseal, again favoring Raetic.

Outside Escha, Anguta probably at least equals Raetic +1 scythe, and possibly beats it.

My screenshot is not working now (I think its something to do with dgvoodoo, I have this problem often) but I smashed around apex jagil for half an hour and I can tell you this...
With non-idris 900 skill fury/frailty, regal SAM/DRK rolls, koru-moru dia III and DRK buffs my Cross Reaper average (using scoreboard) was 28115 (using it as soon as I had 1k tp)
I done some umbra skillchains (insurgency > entropy > CR > entropy) same buffs and my WS average was around 19k
For comparison sake I thrown on my Caladbolg and done 30 WS and got a average 24730, using torcleaver

I would say your first cape should be STR/DA. It makes for a good TP cape until you can get around to a DEX/DA one, and is the best cape for Resolution.

They are both only +0.1 fTP, not 10% WSD, so they are great for multihit WS with transferred fTP values, but why people use it for things like Torc and on top of that, why would you add it to real WSD% from different sources and say you have 62%WSD? You have 42%WSD and +0.2fTP, not +62%WSD.

Unless again, I am missing something with Fotia working differently for DRK WSs.


Just noticed he haven't include Fotia numbers to that 62%. I'm sorry.

Question still stands tho, why I see Fotia belt/gorget in Torcleaver sets?

They use them because the neck and waist do not have spectacular WS options for single hit WSs, so Fotia Belt/Gorget are best in slot even as f TP.

Who combines them with real WSDMG?
