I tried this but because the pet is level 99, it wouldn't let me call it. Edit: just saw that you need to pop the pet before entering lol. The key to victory in basically any level capped scenario for Vana'Bout is using PUP.
I use this build a friend shared with me a while back (which I believe is originally from the Up In Arms thread?), with Thunder/Fire/Light manoeuvres, Overdrive, and it's honest to god just a free win. I'm not even sure if you need Overdrive for it, I just do it because it significantly speeds things up. Just put up manoeuvres, throw the puppet out, use Overdrive, sit back and watch the mob gain a new orifice. They want us to get how many items from the Egg Hunt Moogle?!
(yeah, it's "only" 5, but I thought it was going to increment when you got eggs from the Moogle too) Already drama about dynamis bots and infinity cores
Quote: Do you really want to watch 2,500 players fighting tooth and nail over Infinity Cores? Aren't you supposed to be making things easier for solo players? Where is the consideration? The Moogle exchange option should be the Cores. On the Fenrir server, there are no Cores available... just some weirdos camping Dynamis around the clock. Quote: They’ve turned item drops into a cutthroat free-for-all—creating nothing but bad blood among players—and are forcing us to grind through quests from ages ago. I honestly just don't understand the logic anymore. As far as I can tell, the "fun" factor is completely nonexistent. Quote: There are simply too many VBDs, and it's becoming emotionally draining; I really wish you would cut back on them. It gets to the point where my entire daily login session is consumed by them. I also think you should reduce the number of standard VB tasks a bit as well. Even with a 10-day window, I don't think most people can log in for very long during the workweek... and on weekends, we can't log in at all if we have other plans. Day 1 Objectives;
- Gourmet (Trade Salimah in Bastok Markets [L-8] a Sleepshroom, Treant Bulb, or Wild Onion) - More Pioneering Spirit (Complete a Lair Reive) - Master Angler (Fish up 4 rusty items of any type) - Materiel Storm (Complete a Materiel Storm Campaign Op) - Gathering Storm (Kill 40 mobs in 1 go of The Gathering Storm) When will be the earliest I can hit 700 for the AF+3 ?
Asura.Tarquine said: » When will be the earliest I can hit 700 for the AF+3 ? It would take a minimum of 4 days - 100 per day for the daily (VBD) objectives and 300 for doing the other (VB) objectives. I'm trying to understand what it means to obtain the vanabout title?
Is it either: A) Complete every vanabout ROE until the last day and register to Moogle ASAP before the first 10 players? OR B) Does the scoreboard count every player with the same point as the same rank? (50 people with max points at rank 1)? Just being curious how it works and wasn't sure how to find out. Top ten if less than ten get max points.
ALL the ones who obtain maximum points if more than ten do. Gotcha, that makes sense now.
In other words, getting every vanabout ROE completed is 100% guarantee for title as long as you post to moogle at the end. If you max out and register after hitting the max before the event period ends, yes, 100%

Went back to bed. It really didn’t take that long, I went out on THF on Phoenix at like 1:30 pacific and there were a lot of people but it went fast because the drop rate isn’t bad. So a lot of people would leave quickly, and many of the other people in zone were zoning in to go to the BCNM50. Took me less than 10 minutes to get 8 necklaces for two people. I also farmed flint stones in Kuftal Tunnel within hour #1 and didn’t see another soul. Took me longer to zone into the Comet Orb BCNM due to congestion. REEEEE I went right at event start and there was congestion, complete lack of foresight.
To be fair, SE giving the JP what amounts to an extra day is ***, but nothing new there. Been through a quarter century of this. There was 30 dipshits in giddeus earlier, absolutely hilarious
Is this the 2nd or 3rd Vanabout day? Assuming it's the 2nd
I activated the daily objectives (without doing them) before Japanese midnight (~5 hours ago) and thought they'd carry over, but they didn't. Game just defaulted to the new daily ones. Will I get yesterday's quests after finishing today's, or are they gone? Asura.Eiryl said: » You don't need to do Day 0, they will autoroll to day 1, if you wait You have a 24 hour window, every objective can be held off for 24 hours with the autorolling, but if you roll the next day you're ***. Bahamut.Daleterrence said: » More details on my Vana'Bout site that I'm going to continue shilling because I'm proud of it and you can't stop me One of the best ways to grind fame in Abyssea - La Theine is this repeatable quest: https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/The_Angling_Armorer which is just "turn in a rusty item fished up in Abyssea - La Theine" You can do the rusty item fishing there! The quest NPC, Exoroche, is at Conflux #4, there's a big pond right by him and you won't catch anything but monsters/items with Shrimp Lure, so you can filter out monsters by their different bite message and get all rusty items. I figure you're probably aiming lower on the "insane mastery rank sickos" power level, but I'm menioning it anyway. How many infinity cores can the RMT supply? Because you are surely not gonna farm those in the bot zones. Of all the things, why do I have to farm FOUR bottled pixies and deliver them to Witchfire Glen one by one? Repeat the Egg event for 5 rounds? Holy *** man. Huge lines at Treasures and Tribulations. Obviously. It looks like they forgot every step in the right direction, turned around and are throwing feces at us now. Asura.Certainly said: » Well this event has suddenly become a huge headache. It's not that god damn complex. Do I have to write it in crayons? Pictures? You tell me how to make it idiotproof for you, and you'll still *** it up. Explain what is unclear. If you missed a day zero objective, it remains on the menu. When you complete it or deactivate it, it auto-rolls over to the day one objective. If you continue to skip the day zero objective, they will roll to day two at jp midnight skipping day one entirely. You only see day zero objectives if you were actually logged in during the 7 hours they appeared.
If you were logged out during that period, you start with day 1 objectives and never see day 0. Did someone say you would. How would the game know to give you objectives if you weren't online to get the update. It's the 8th round. Not the 1st.
Do you think you could just log out for a week, come back on day 7 and start day zero objectives? (why the *** would you ever log out. Logging in is the single most miserable aspect of XI) |
