The free races don't give a lot of points per race but they don't escalate in gil price that quickly either - just grind it up to like the 10k race and you'll get something like 50 Chocobucks, that's 3 days!

Egg helm, I believe, does not help you get skill ups. I could be wrong but I never saw wing skill up on any item retrieved from this .

I don't have it myself - so I totally believe you. Although now we can actually track it across multiple days to be sure!

edit: wonder if the same's true of the Black Chocobo Suit / Denim Pants +1 "rare items" like Heavy Metal, then? but they're awful for skilling up anyway so that's idle curiosity

Took me 8 successful digs to get from skill 6 to 7
Took me 9 successful digs to get from 7 to 8
Took me 10 successful digs to get from 8 to 9
Took me 11 successful digs to get from 9 to 10 XD


How do you tell when you've reach your daily digs limit? Do you get a message or you simply don't dig items anymore?
It resets at JP midnight I assume, right?


14 digs for 10 to 11
13 digs for 11 to 12
15 digs for 12 to 13 :p
Took me 11 successful digs to go 10 -> 11. This might not actually be a coincidence... but that's different from your number so it might be.

edit: yeah, 13 successful digs to hit level 12, it's not just the level number.
