Shiva.Thorny said: » Here's your augs (I probably didn't even need to list them all out, but enjoy the disappointment): Holy ***, even the weapons that seem promising at base then out to be bad lol. Presumably the attack+30, mdmg+20, hp+100 is the grip, since there's no precedent for dmg+ on non-weapons and the VIT one must be shield.
Grip was already pretty damn good, I think every serious DPS will want one. However, I can't imagine spending 30 sets of matters on 30 attack and 150 HP. Unless there are other augments somewhere that I'm not finding, I don't think anyone will be augmenting these. The weapons aren't bad for returners if they turn out to be as cheap as the armor was. Su4 on NQ/+1 and Su5 on +2, including grip, is a little lame. Ouch on the Augments...was fully expecting TP bonus 500 and Limbus to be red hot grind content.

Who the *** is sitting at SE and saying "Know what we should put as an augment on a crazy long grind that overlaps with another crazy long grind that actually has some decent stats? H P +!!!."
I really don't think they know their own game from their elbows. And the winner is PUP as you don't have to make the Prime H2H anymore and can still get 2 more levels for tankmaton.

Are any of the weapons better then kaja sword, knife, polearm, club? That seems to be a bigger issue. Edit(also any better then the SU4 weapons path A or B for that matter) Not completely down on them, the grip, the mage sword, a few others seem promising. Woodworking gets Staff, Bow and the Polearm, all use the $$$ crafting mats from other guilds... They all have lower then normal ACC/MACC for a comparable item. Same thing was on the gear gear but then it all got huge amounts of acc.... I'm confused. Would it be safe to assume the weapons are Su4/Su5 like the armor?

You're confused because HP+ is 100% useless and I challenge someone to find a use case for why it would be good. And I mean that non-confrontationally. Like please tell me a use case so I can wrap my head around this. Shield not feeling great about(does it out do stage 2 duban?). Not sure which one handers beat their nonTP bonus check competition. But can't say even if I got one I would augment it. Grip is potentially fire though lol Ranoutofspace said: » And the winner is PUP as you don't have to make the Prime H2H anymore and can still get 2 more levels for tankmaton. This is absolutely ridiculous. I would have been extremely upset if I made a Stage 5 prime axe and find this middle-ground Axe with +2 levels, today. Where's the incentive? What's the goal? :/ Guess I'll continue my Limbus boycott. Oh...yuck on the augs. Grip is the easy winner (and potentially the only thing worth getting outside of lockstyle pieces).
Felgarr said: » made a Stage 5 prime axe Stage 5 prime is lvl+3 for both pup and bst pets. These weapons are lvl +2. Replaces stage 4, not stage 5. Still shitty given stage 4 is 3.5m thingamagicks, but not that shitty. Shiva.Thorny said: » c dmg +1, magic dmg +1, hp +5 at R1 hard to believe the weapons are this dam bad. I assumed they would be equivalent to dyna Su5 weapons or ody weapons.I mean these look okayish at first glance with the PDL... but anyone who can use the PDL has 10 better weapon options than these. Thanks for confirming the bad news. Almost like SE doesn't know that 10 PDL doesn't mean anything if you lose TP bonus or a decent weapon skill. Lucky you get to skip all that grind and ignore it At a glance I don't see anything I'd bother with over an ambuscade weapon that takes 1 day to make. Unless the +2 is like 1~2m or less. And leave it at base R0. (obligatory note about smn cause the ambu staff does nothing for smn, but no one cares) These are… sad.
Why make the armour cray cray but have the weapons remind me of abysses amber chest augments.. so they gave every craft armor crafts, then shorted everyone on weapons ><. It makes sense that a clothcrafter cant make weapons. though if going by that logic why can alchemist make boots?

(obligatory note about smn cause the ambu staff does nothing for smn, but no one cares) Those weapons look like they're using the 1.125M npc purchased materials and their derivatives. Assuming Alabaster/Murky Materials are essentially worthless when the dust settles, you're still looking at between 1.2m to 4.6m in costs to attempt the synthesis, depending on the weapon. These are the augments on the telopanos equipment, right?
Seems like they don't want people to quit the sortie grind still. Bismarck.Johnb said: » These are the augments on the telopanos equipment, right? Seems like they don't want people to quit the sortie grind still. Well duh. But Sortie (primarily) is party content and limbus (primarily) is solo content. They're not competing. Expecting these weapons to beat Primes in damage (or mythics in utility) would be silly. They would've been a reasonable replacement for Aeonics with TP bonus on the augments. They take a lot longer to get than Aeonics do, but require less organization and strength ceiling. I don't really see why SE made them complete gutter trash.
Dynamis SU5 augment paths are buyable, instant, and almost universally better. The only thing these have going for them is the ability to offhand, but nobody is going to do that kind of work to augment an offhand that isn't even BIS. What in the FFXIV is this absolute ***
Lazy *** copy/paste shitty gear ladder weapon that go nowhere and serve no purpose and are no better than anything soloable What the *** |
