3 weeks in and the National Security Adviser is fired. You would think nausi would be happy to talk about anything else.

Or that entire situation was being leaked in real time on social media or that assistants were using phone camera lights to view documents which could have potentially broadcasted information if their phones have been compromised. #butheremails! YouTube Video Placeholder I want one.... Quote: “What the Kremlin fears most today is that Trump may be ousted or even killed. His ouster, Kremlin insiders argue, is bound to unleash a virulent and bipartisan anti-Russian campaign in Washington. Oddly, therefore, Putin has become a hostage to Trump’s survival and success. This has seriously restricted Russia’s geopolitical options. The Kremlin is perfectly aware that Democrats want to use Russia to discredit and possibly impeach Trump while Republican elites want to use Russia to deflate and discipline Trump. The Russian government fears not only Trump’s downfall, of course, but also the possibility that he could opportunistically switch to a tough anti-Moscow line in order to make peace with hawkish Republican leaders in Congress.” What's that Putin? Anti-Abortion Lawmaker Calls Pregnant Women 'Hosts'
And he's standing by his remarks Newser Oklahoma Anti-Abortion Lawmaker Says Women Are Merely ‘Hosts’ The Cut Quote: On Tuesday, the Oklahoma state legislature will hold a hearing on a bill that would require a woman seeking an abortion to first get written permission from her male sexual partner. In an interview, the Republican lawmaker who authored the bill explained that a woman’s body, well, simply isn’t her own. Instead, a woman’s body is merely a “host.” The Intercept has a detailed report about the bill, known as HB 1441, as well as another bill that would block women from aborting fetuses with genetic anomalies, called HB 1559. In a surprising move (as Oklahoma has passed 20 strict abortion regulations since 2011), the latter failed to pass last Wednesday while the former was tabled without comment. However, by Thursday, both measures were put back on House Public Health Committee’s agenda, with a vote slated for February 14. In an interview with the Intercept, Representative Justin Humphrey explained why he decided to author HB1441. His first intention with the bill, he said, was to ensure men would have to pay child support from the beginning. He also wanted to give men a say in the decision of whether a woman gets an abortion or not, because women tend to make these decisions with the mistaken with belief that their bodies are their own, he said. I held this very theory myself for a while (regarding fetuses being parasites) but apparently the strict definition of parasite excludes fetuses of the same species because that's apparently "working as intended." Also incredibly shitty for the woman in others. Josiahkf said: » I'm surprised you read that article nausi and believe the person is attacking capitalism. That's clearly not her intention. That article is very Anti-UN and not objective at all. Quote: "This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution," Her Exact Words . There has only been one economic model enacted/instituted in the past ~150 years that succeeded, and that's capitalism. Communism failed in Russia, true socialism hasn't taken off (yet) but a quasi-socialist society has shown that it would fail (France), and no other economic theories that aren't a knockoff of any of the major theories have taken off either. Imagine if for the last 150 years we prioritized minimizing our waste as much as maximizing our profits. Like our societies behaved like the earth was a precious rare commodity we had to preserve for future generations. The earth would be a very different place today. |
