The 10:1 trade-in doesn't sound bad to me at all, given that I was under the impression that we'd HAVE to use the job we wanted to upgrade gear for. 10:1 is better than 10:0 after all.

For the people complaining about Beads used for new reforge, they might also come from Omen mobs and be kind of a moot point too, who knows, it's SE.

I really hope so. I hate doing dragons and was saving beads for aeonic. I don't want to have to spend them on this.

It's kind of fair this way. How many times do the Epeo RUN/Idris GEO/Aegis PLD get stuck playing only their job for their groups/ls. At least its not like Job Points.

Oh, no, don't get me wrong. This is absolutely amazing. I just wish they would do something to reward people for taking a variety of jobs instead of the same ones over and over again.

The legs are good but almost wondering if Samnuha Tights are still better due to STP and I'm fairly certain Lustratio +1 subligar still beat it for rudra, might win for stacked mandalic tho, the body with TA 7% tho is really good but you also miss capping DW from Adhemar, but it also doubles as the best now stacked rudra body. The head though... it has no attack but in every other way is amazing. If you cap pdif with support it's doing 2.3k more damage according to the spreadsheet for stacked WS than Adhemar +1, having that much of a boost from one item slot is crazy. Solo though it'll be less effective due to no attack. Still I'm not complaining it's amazing all around every job got way more than we expected.



Also the Nusku Shield is really nice for RNG sub WAR and wow at Nisroch Jerkin, if you're standing at trueshot distance that should be a very beastly body piece for Jishnu's Radiance.

Honestly, this feels like the most FFXI update in a long time.

Lots of sidegradey/situational pieces, some really valuable new pieces without disrupting the top of the food chain too much, and we're back to 20 hour waits.

New items from the Guild vendor that sell for over 1 million gil.

Probably tied to the new guild gear quest, or Omen.

I really hope when SE said you can solo/trusts for the +2, that they didn't mean "but only if you have the top tier gear", since not blm or sch + no gear for blm or sch since aby, so can't nuke for crap + not on Asura = not getting anything better than Ambuscade gear.


Also, can we talk about how SE put the Besieged scores back for servers last night, but didn't do crap for Siren years ago, when we all know that we wouldn't have lost if maintenance didn't happen? lol

Question: can you get the KI for Omen once every 20 hours, or only once every 20 hours after you spend it? Wondering if you can stack them like you could old Remnant's Permits and enter twice within a short time.

I wanna know exactly what it's gonna cost to upgrade gear. How many successful runs, on average, per piece

New mats at the guild are 1.1mil a piece and seem to go into 105 synths

Pillager's isn't the thf set I want tons of triple attack on. Skulker's should have been the set for that. Pillager's had some Critical already and could have easily been made 4/5 for best in slot stacked, but of all of the pieces the body barely squeaks in for best in slot, and the the head clearly wins despite either of them not having any attack. Yet lots of accuracy because of all those times we miss with sneak attacks. I really don't get what they were aiming for with this set. Dual wield on the gloves that augments trick attack? What? Why?

White mage also made out like a bandit it seems. Thsts a really sick upgrade to the Theo hands.
