Herc feet, sorry. The augments i posted came from fern stones.

I got these two tonight. The only reason the top one is kind of interesting is because of the +19 int, so stats go up to at least 19. The +7 Fast Cast on the bottom pic is the highest I've gotten so far, so I was pretty happy about that. The super annoying part is that the Pet augments aren't even good for pet jobs, SE should really do something about putting Pet: INT+4 on all this gear, it's fkin stupid. I understand that getting a godly augment isn't suppose to be easy, but enough with the shitty pet augments on 90% of this gear. This game will be long dead b4 i'll see 2 perfect augments from this system.

I think I would have kept those and tucked them away in a BLU or NIN Magic burst/Magic Attack set... and just farmed new hands lol.

The only job she uses that would have any use of a MAB build is BLU (and I dont have her on BLU that often), and I dont think they're better than Amalric: INT+14 Macc+20 MAB+50 MBDMG+8 vs INT+34 Macc+15 MAB+38 CapCircumventingMBDMG+5 Maybe, didn't realize the INT was so low on those.
They're better free nuke hands for certain spells (Searing Tempest, Anvil Lightning, Entomb come to mind since Herc offsets reduced dINT with increased WSC on those spells), probably sidegrade or downgrade to NQ hands for anything else, definitely a downgrade when bursting if you're capping MBB (worth noting that BLU's MBB options aren't the best though). HQ hands obviously win with ease.

If SE added a synth that let us turn DM into 6 or 12 orbs that could be used instead of regular DM, I could see people trying with those. However, without that change, I completely agree with you about people not wasting their time/gil trying with regular DM, since DM is way too rare/expensive to use, considering how random the augments are. The only other change that might get people to try regular DM after this is for SE to get rid of the crappy augments like 1-5 +stats and 1-15 +acc/atk/macc/mab and instead make them higher values all the time when you get them. They would also have to make it so you always get like 3 or more augs per try, instead of sometimes getting 1 horrible augment like +1 INT or +1 ATK. Offline
