Hey fam! What are some of the Master TP sets you guys use? Looking to see some builds I could work with, sub dnc or nin is cool! Thank you all!
My current set with fencer. Damn I need some R25 Gleti. For tougher enemies I just throw on R25 Nyame Bod/Legs.
I mainly use this set BST/DRG. Cape has 10DA ItemSet 395818 Obviously the Ambu gear is not optimal but has a big chunk of triple attack. Ideally you want V25+ Gleti body/legs to replace these pieces. Just pretend the earrings are correct. If I am dual wielding I throw on an eabani earring along with a dual wield cape. I still need some RP for my Ikenga sadly. BST gets the 2nd highest fencer bonus. With /DRG traits you can spam some really nasty calamity/mistrals. Pangu Path B is pretty nice. It really needs a fencer set or tp bonus offhand to shine though. Nariont said: » Only time id look to pet for real dmg is in an aoe scenerio or magic bursting, otherwise its a sc bridge or a utility tool(buffs/debuffs/heals) To be competely honest, i use Arthur as first pet basically for every "big" ls event, Fatso for tp drain kiss, Zhivago if we havent got geo (useful also for light based dispel and technically amnesia, which i think i have never been able to land lol), Bredo for magic burst and i dont remember which one for a specific sheol gaol nm. Then there are other contents (seg farms, card farms, vagary, dynaD) where i go "full selfish" and i pop either Shizuna for rage ( dangerous but fun af) or with Gaston for attack boost. Aku forgot to mention that R25 Aymur + a good augmented Nyame its pretty useful in DynaD to shot statues if there is no cor or for pulls gone wrong. Aymur is sadly the only axe i find myself using at this stage. Im augmenting Farsha just out of curiosity, but who knows, maybe i'll use it for something. There is also a build im looking at that paired with Vickie gives a ton of counter and subtle blow and it looks extremely fun. Fenrir.Skarwind said: » My current set with fencer. Now that Cornelia is gone i summon Mayakov and it is extremely efficient (5/5 haste samba and Saber dance). I don't mind him using ws as i spam savage blade. Can i ask why Pangu over Farsha and Forfend +1 instead of Beatific +1 (augmented)? Offline

If youre getting smacked regularly and also blocking regularly i spose thats fair i guess, didnt take a job with E skill to be blocking anything above trash level stuff
I've taken it to delve for this month and tried out a couple of pets. I settled on the slug just because I want the defense down. AoE damage went from maybe 6k to almost 14k by working on my sets. I was doing Aymur/Kraken instead of tp bonus/mab skirmish axes so I wasn't skipping my own contribution on NMs. The cricket was probably as good but I wanted to go this way. I'm sure someone can easily tell me I'm wrong.

Udug or Nyame D path are not goals but I'm happy that i dusted it off since I hadn't played it since ilvl became a thing. I'll probably play with physical ready moves next to see what I can get out of it. I like Rhinowrecker a fair amount but I'm going to have to play around some. I personally think playing it as a tp denial gimmick in hard content is very fun because it's low effort and effective when utilized correctly. But I would really love it if it had more of an obvious future path to work on. Minaras84 said: » Fenrir.Skarwind said: » My current set with fencer. Damn I need some R25 Gleti. Can i ask why Pangu over Farsha and Forfend +1 instead of Beatific +1 (augmented)? Forfend+1 has some insane accuracy. PDT is always good. While most think it is useless on BST, believe it or not the block rate on this thing is pretty decent. Almost reminds me of the old Sipar. Buckler's also have the highest block rate in the game. So it's still some form of damage mitigation in the long run. I actually want to test this item to see if it also has a hidden block rate to it (The original says +20% on the BGWiki) It just felt abnormally high to me. I was tanking some Omen bosses out of boredom I noticed a few blocks with some decent damage reduction on a low shield skill job. If Blurred Shield+1 did not exist, I think that Warrior's would be using this thing. For pure defense it's hard to beat Sacro Bulwark though. I don't have Farsha (I want one but I am very lazy), Pangu was given to me by a friend. So the only cost was time ranking it up. It's a great axe though, especially with the subtle blow changes to pets. If one ever comes your way cheap, I'd get it. Ignore if you already having a mythic axe though. The TP gain feels right to me. Plenty of follow up attacks bare minimum, and a moderate about of double/triple. Follow up attacks proc on those as well. So it can potentially caused your triple attacks to do quad. Pangu's multi attack reminds me alot of playing Fencer WAR with an axe (I actually used to do that prior to Naegling). Suppose I am just addicted to Fencer and Multi Attack. Deliverance is 10 more accuracy. More shield skill and counter but less defense. It is a different size shield so take the +9 to block rate vs +5 with a grain of salt, but the block reductions should also be stronger.
Even has THF and WHM on it... Phoenix.Iocus said: » Deliverance is 10 more accuracy. More shield skill and counter but less defense. Kinda gross this uses hides as well. Biggest perk to making Forfend+1 was the enhancing for rdm. Kind of an annoying fight too, but we have that campaign coming up for unity. Ugh I thought I was done with unity. Thanks for pointing out that shield. Lakshmi.Buukki

Anyways, what's the speed to tp on this kind of build? IMO BST has always felt really "slow" as a DD, only kept up the pace when I used a Kraken Club. I don't have a Su5 Path B Pangu, so that certainly will speed things up a bit. Just has always felt really slow whenever I used it with Trust buffs (have tried Ridill, Ternion +1, Blurred +1, and Kraken Club Offhands, but never a Fencer build). I suppose it's decent with Sam Roll? Just never seen it in action before. TimSteezy said: » Hey fam! What are some of the Master TP sets you guys use? Gleti's is r30 though so not exactly easy to obtain by any means. However there are other MA pieces you could opt for in the same slots as noted above by others. Is Farsha any good if you have the Aymur? Looks good for if you want to spam Cloudsplitter, but otherwise what's the point?
And also a message to Simon. The reward set in the guide recommends Totemic Body. I know you said that I probably wouldn't need it, but it looks to be preferred. It has Pet DT-10 on it, and in the case of using Reward, it helps to keep the pets HP up in those moments. Cerberus.Kylos said: » Is Farsha any good if you have the Aymur? In comparison Dolci/Naegling feel painfully slow with Fencer. I was using Pangu with the tp bonus axe offhand, and after hitting MLVL30 I am liking /DRG a lot more. Calc shows it slightly inferior to AM3 Mythic. Though something feels kinda ***. It prefers malignance/store TP for Pangu despite multi attack benefitting it. Am I using this thing wrong, or does that seem correct? Mainly Malig Tabard/Legs > R30 gleti Body/Legs which was surprising. When I get home I want to mess with and compare it to a few weapon types. Thank you for that reply! Being new to the class and understanding that was pretty dope. I really like your thinking. I've really only seen DW builds as I've googled, so seeing a Fencer build was interesting. I'm still getting a hang of some things, but I really want to use this. Been farming E Lillith to try & get Malignance pieces, they seem super important. r25 is far out of my reach, so appreciate using the Meg / Tali Legs/Chest.
Would a Telos Earring be a good swap for the Sroda Earring, or is Sroda better? I still don't quite understand it's description. If your pet is summoned, you get 7% DA, they get +10 Dam? Just confirming, like I said fairly new to all this still. Also, what's a good Pet / Master Hybrid set you guys use? I genuinely love this class. It seems there are various ways to play, so I really am just eager for how people play certain things/what they prefer to use. Thanks a ton, seriously! Offline

Long as the pet is out you get +7% DA, not much beats that afaik, pet gets base dmg +10, so its nice for most of the melee pets(ranged gets no +dmg so ranged ready moves, puppet's ranged attacks/ws get nothing) Bahamut.Steezy said: » Also, what's a good Pet / Master Hybrid set you guys use? For BST i would just forgo giving the pet anything and focus solely on the master, pet needs no TP to do a ready move, so focusing on the masters TP gain is more bang for your buck imo, assuming im understanding the pet/master hybrid anyway Fenrir.Skarwind said: » Phoenix.Iocus said: » Deliverance is 10 more accuracy. I use it on Aminon...after I did exactly what you did. Not surprised calc is favoring STP on Pangu, it's already giving you 50% DA basically on path B. I think you would only see benefit over STP if you were to raise actual MA to very high numbers.

Feeling dumb having looked everywhere except here, lol. Thanks for the guide, it has always been exceptional. I guess if you're willing to drop your TP for skullrender, you might as well drop it for 2 of them if you're dual wielding
See the Mythic is used a lot, but I have 3 Kumbhakarna's I can augment with several ways to go. I'm wondering which stats are must haves, with a mythic, so I can focus on augmenting them to be used in the long term. Could make an educated guess from the guide, but I'm curious to know what others think as well.
Phoenix.Iocus said: » I guess if you're willing to drop your TP for skullrender, you might as well drop it for 2 of them if you're dual wielding Could do. I'm used to RDM, so having duplicate sets with/without weapons is not an issue to me. Lakshmi.Buukki

I made two pet tp bonus/pdt axes before the release of dynamis weaponry. Depending on the ready move, TP bonus is still one of the best uses of Kumb since it modifiers a lot of moves. You could make a magical and physical one for the respective moves. The skirmish stones allows you to make several types of them for various circumstances. Can't say i get much use out of mine anymore (think I used them for TP Drainkiss)), YMMV
My BST gear is gradually coming together. Keeping it simple with six sets so far, and will add to them over time. I'm curious to know which pets people are using for things. When I previously played BST, it was all about Xerin/Bertha with Tegmina for AoE. I know the slug is good for Odyssey point farming (HP down). Falcorr was my best friend many years ago for Dynamis farming, but I doubt it gets any use now.
Some examples of pets enfeebling, setting up for skillchains, or anything else that actually makes sense to do in 2025 would be cool. Are people purposely pulling out pets only to buff before dropping them for something else? I love how much choice there is. I could probably find some answers if I went back and read through 180+ pages, but some of that might not be relevant. Minaras said this earlier: "To be competely honest, i use Arthur as first pet basically for every "big" ls event, Fatso for tp drain kiss, Zhivago if we havent got geo (useful also for light based dispel and technically amnesia, which i think i have never been able to land lol), Bredo for magic burst and i dont remember which one for a specific sheol gaol nm. Pondering Peter - Wild Carrot AOE heals, for something like Omen or Dynamis in a party without heals
Headbreaker Ken/Warlike Patrick - Low charge (1) magical AOE damage (darkness, fire), for something like clearing Omen trash Vivacious Vickie - a Beast that can haste you, but Sweeping Gouge for DEF down and SC Sultry Patrice - Can tank slashing monsters, self-heal with Digest if you snarl everything back to it (mentioned) Generous Arthur - probably the best all-around pet. Has two useful moves, one which can never miss, is quite tanky, can MB. Good friend to have around (mentioned) Rhyming Shizuna - Sheep Song in addition to Rage of course. I made a max Pet MAB set for BST, and the number of times I have been asked to MB with Bredo or anything like that over the past decade is 0. So I stopped bringing that around. The Leech is just for specific fights. tldr - the rabbit, sheep, lynx, and slug are 4 for your rotation, and throw Zhivago or Vickie in there if you need a SC partner.
