I recommend getting an Ichigohitofuri and saving stones for better augmented armor

Also note that in TP sets it depends on Rolls you get as well, if SAM Roll is up you can switch few pieces like Ken Legs for Ryuo and Hetatori Ring for Petrov Ring.
it isn't worth using kaiten to get AM3, so you can just use the same set as a Masamune set
AM for relics is the same at 1000tp.
If you get a WS right at 1000tp Kaiten and fudo are very similar. Maybe worth a use if warcry is down with no TP overflow?

You overflow a lot more often than you think. Here's an example of TP per WS for amano over a 3 minute fight, not including any form of TP Bonus.:

I have two currently and I'm trying to make sure I optimize.

Not sure if I should make one for less accuracy and more attack, one for more STP, etc.

An STP cape can be used for Zanhasso builds. (can use the reive cape too)

MEVA/EVA cape with STP and 20DEX/[10Acc or 10MEVA] for TP on [Schah/Mandy/other Spammy HELMs] I found it made things a lot easier.

I prefer to use Takaha (w/ +3 str snd +4 Zanshin) and fill in more meva in other slots, though I suppose your way would work if you change a couple other accessories and/or have an HQ neck.

Any thoughts on dumping Meditate Recast Merits in favor of Zanshin proc rate?
I'm not at the point of doing events on SAM, but during Apex/CP situations I'm not waiting on Meditate timers. If I get rid of Recast would I then notice/miss it after Mastery and final gearing for events?

I dumped my Meditate merits for Zanshin quite a while ago. There really isn't as much benefit to the Meditate timer being reduced anymore. Back when that was first available, we didn't have the level of tp gain we have now. TP gain wasn't awful, it just wasn't as prolific as it is now. I am of the opinion that you gain more from the Zanshin merits once you have the ZanHasso gifts.
I also dropped Meditate merits due to ZanHasso.

This was probably brought up already, if so I apologize. It's actually less about the fact of whether it's single or multi-hit, and more about the fact that fTP does not transfer across subsequent hits on Fudo and many WS like it. 2 good examples of exceptions being Expiacion and Savage Blade. Both are multi-hit and neither transfer fTP across subsequent hits... This essentially makes a double attack on them equal to just hitting another time for white damage. I don't know of any examples where a single hit does get fTP transfer, but such a thing isn't necessarily prohibited by game mechanics, I just don't think they have nor will ever make such a thing.

Is there a WS on SAM other than Rana and Jinpu that benefits from MA over WSD? My shoha's are 10x more consistently high damage when I focus on WSD and not MA. Kasha/Gekko/Ageha as well. Rana doesn't benefit at all from WSD for the most part, and Jinpu seems to have good synergy with MA due to the way the magic damage calculates.

Admittedly it was an exaggeration, the point was to foot-stomp that the culprit for WSD being so much better than MA on some WS was the lack of fTP transfer rather than the number of hits necessarily
That being said, it is still a big factor, especially on WS with a particularly high fTP modifier, Such as the specific examples that I cited.
so wondering now, Tachi: Jinpu would you use MAB over WSD+?
