Quote: Final Fantasy XV will have a Season Pass that allows players to download additional content. Pre-orders for a “Digital Premium Edition” of Final Fantasy XV, which includes the game and Season Pass, went live on the PlayStation Store in the U.S. today for $84.99. A “Season Pass Upgrade” is also available for users who already pre-ordered Final Fantasy XV digitally. A Square Enix representative told Gematsu it currently has no further information to share about the Season Pass. At E3 2016 in June, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata said the game’s downloadable content plans were “pretty much finalized,” and that it would include “additional story content, costumes, as well as things that don’t fall into those categories that fans will be excited to see.” Final Fantasy XV is due out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 30. Update 11:55 p.m.: The Final Fantasy XV Season Pass has been added to the Japanese PlayStation Store, which offers actual details. It includes the following six pieces of downloadable content, one of which will include a new mode: “Booster Pack” (DLC #1) “Episode Gladiolus” (DLC #2) “Holiday Pack” (DLC #3) “Episode Ignis” (DLC #4) “Episode Prompto” (DLC #5) “Expansion Pack” (DLC #6) In Japan, the Season Pass costs 2,700 yen. Lots of games nowadays have expansion DLC. I don't think this is any different.
FFXV out of the box with little to no updates will be a complete game. Everything else added is just more to enjoy. That's how I see it anyway... I'll pay the extra for more stuff. Story content through dlc is just terrible.
Depends on content volume and how well they will honestly convince players that the dlcs are not already finished and kept out of game only to be sold later . If they are anything like Wircher 3 dlcs ehen combined, I would be fine with that. Knowing SE though, I doubt that (see: FFXIII costume dlcs).
This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, this game took 10+ years to develop, SE needs to make as much money as they can on it. Its going to have DLC, microtransactions, everything. Even then, I don't think it will end up being a profit for them.
Offline
Depending on the length of DLC episodes 25-30 dollars isnt a bad season pass price. Kinda standard and I would assume with the movie and anime that they would of done dlc expansions.
What sad times we live in if people expect dlc and are ok with them...
I'm not against DLC, I'm against overcharging for them
Companies never seem to get the price right Offline
Only thing sad is ppl who can't change with the times. dlc is fine if it is done right and is good. Oh and not stupidly overpriced.
I'm also not against big DLCs that are set post-game like in The Witcher DLCs. What is unforgivable to me is DLC that was supposed to be in the game but they didn't have time to finish it and then charge for it
This isn't about changing, it's not some new technology.
If I buy single player games I want them to be complete, not have part of the story removed because that way the company can hawk on me. It's as if back in 97 you had to buy the discs for ff7 individually without even spending less. Looks cool for an indie game but from what I can tell it lacks cities to visit, npcs to talk to, a decent sized cast, no real landmarks
It looks quite empty. Very impressive for a game by one guy though Cool, lol. It's not an entertainment center, but I'll take it.
YouTube Video Placeholder All footage Looks great can't wait for September 30th
First FF i wont play ;/ I allready played the real Devil May Cry alot and i can see pretty landscapes while driving also in RL.
Passing this round :D Have fun with it, looks great tho YouTube Video Placeholder 4th World of Wonder trailer. Pretty. Quote: While the main game has the player exclusively controlling lead character, Noctis, Final Fantasy XV's DLC packs will make each of his roadtripping buddies - Ignis, Gladiolus and Prompto - playable for their own adventure. While the game's season pass, and those packs, were announced last week, we hadn't had confirmation of the nature of each until they were listed on the game's official website (as translated by Siliconera). While we know that the Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto packs will be new episodes featuring each character, no specific information's been given about what each will involve. As for the other three packs, the website tells us that DLC 1 (Booster Pack) "will help you get powerful weapons that will help out in battle", DLC 3 (Episode Holiday Pack) "includes a splendid item pack to make your game more gorgeous", and DLC 6 (Expansion Pack) "makes it possible to enjoy a completely new way to play Final Fantasy XV." Final Fantasy XV Reportedly Delayed To November~
The news of this apparent delay was first reported last night by the website Gamnesia, citing sources at GameStop. A separate GameStop sourced that Square has indeed briefed some people at the corporate level about the new November 29 release date. Oh no. That is a really bad release date. Hopefully it ends up being an inaccurate leak. Nothing does well releasing after the yearly batch of AAA shooters.
