I meant Twashtar/TPbonus and use Rudra's ofc, not Evisceration.
It should still be a little better, than Kaja/Twashtar and Evisceration, but it would be really close. Well obviously if you solo then spaming Rudra's create Darkness, so overall damage will be much higher, but for zerg and looking only for DPS without SC, Kaja/Twashtar should only be very slightly behind Twashtar/Centovente.

If I make this dagger for a mule and will not make any RMEA for it, what would be the best offhand? A Shijo?

Probably taming?

It's worth mentioning that when the final upgrade is released you'll be able to main hand that and dual wield a Kaja knife offhand. You just won't be able to have two final forms, akin to thfs who dual wielded Mandau/Batardeau in the lvl 75 era. That'll almost certainly be your best way to go in terms of time and effort to reward ratio. Granted the last stage isn't out yet, but if you don't need to gear up immediately and have the luxury of waiting another month or two it's by far the most efficient. Offhand Kaja knife is very comparable to taming in performance, so a final stage version in the mainhand with Kaja offhand is bound to be a stellar combo.

That or Taming. I'd mess around with either. If your goal is spamming 1k tp Eviscerations it may be hard to beat a Shijo path D, it's only 7 DEX and 1 TA less than Taming with crit rate/dmg on it.

I disagree. Shijo is pretty easy to get and clearly a better offhand provided you aren't regularly mixing in Aeolian Edges.

You should keep quiet on that point or they'll just make the next stage augments only with the same name!

The next stage is an upgrade to the items themselves, with new graphics included. Stage after that will be augments.

I still expect that the final stage will actually lose the Rare tag and be Exclusive only, so there won't be any need to leave one gimped. :D

It's more likely that the next stage will be the last (april) and that they won't get augments. "too much text" and there's no chance you can dw 2 maxed.

... The devs said as much during the last FP. >.>;; So yes, there is one more real upgrade stage, followed by augments at a later update.

If they do that, then they beat REMA

Another upgrade, AND augments, will beat half the rema for sure

Probably have rank25 REMA released at the same time or shortly after.

Depends on the augments. They didn't really seem all that hyped about the augs, and as long as the overall stats on Ambuscade weapons stay below the skill+269 tier, the devs will insist that "Ultimate Weapons" are still better.

These don't have AM/AG. So, they are weaker than current R15 augmented REMA by default as far as the devs are concerned. Don't hold your breath on increases in augment strength this year.

Why?

Another upgrade can be just +3MAB, +5 acc/att/macc, 255 skill and +10 to next 3 stats (so they have +10 all stats). Augments can be mediocre too, like let say +5% DA, +5%WSD max.

In which case:
- GKT would still be meh
- Scythe would still be meh
- Axe is very good, but still only optional to REMA.
- Staff would still be meh
- Club might be the best melee club for some jobs (but probably not for jobs with REMA clubs)
- Sword is the best sword for some jobs, but again not really for jobs with rema swords
- Gsword would still be meh
- H2H would still be meh
- Gaxe would still be meh
- Polearm would still be meh (outside of situational use for sam and war)
- Katana woudl be ok, still behind Aeonic
- Bow would still be lolbow and macc piece for some jobs
- Dagger might be sometimes bis for THF, but only sometimes

I see only one weapon (dagger) that could potentially and situationally beat REMA for one job. If some of those weapons are bis, they are bis for jobs without access to REMA of that type.

It heavily depends on the augments they let these have

There's absolutely no way to predict what they'll do. They could have WSD +1000% yes, a thousand, or it could be attack +10, or negate damage +10, occasionally attacks 8 times, PDL+10 totally *** random.

Mandau is terrible and vajra is hotgarbage, so its not overly tough to beat them both.

kaja knife spaming evis probably beats them already

And when we go to abyssea v2 it'll stomp all 4 of em lol

I got all my 1500 in 2 runs. They were dropping from trees. True story!

Seriously I would like someone with talent to make a comic about it. 4 different frames with 4 different experience during Omen farm :)

Yeah, honestly this makes Taming a lot less appealing for non-RMEA THF. Still has a place for non-RMEA DNC offhand though.
