The Parthenon: A Warrior's Kyklos
I keep trying for QA Valorous Feet, but Oseem keeps giving me refresh...

Afaik WAR can reach 100% DA which would equate to 200 swings in 100 attack rounds.
With the QA set you listed and all 5 Valorous pieces with 3% QA you'd have 29% QA which would equate to 187 swings in 100 attack rounds. If you also had 4% tripple attack (don't know if it's possible) on top of the 3% quad attack on each Valorous piece you'd deal 215,4 swings on 100 attack rounds. Unless I screwed up somewhere with the math, which everyone should assume I did. That math is certainly wrong yes. You're assuming in a QA set you have 0 triple and 0 double with that math. War can't be below 28% double. They would easily be 50-60%+ in a full Quad set with a handful of triple sprinkled in.
DMs can roll multiple fern stone terms so qa/ta/stp can all show up on the same piece. I've seen occult acumen and store tp roll low values on the same piece just to show me it can happen. Good luck chasing that unicorn or any double/triple stat combo.
I have also looked for Valorous feet but the best i get is 13 store tp from 5 base +8 aug on regular fern stones. QA is for BRD, RUN, and COR imo. BRD can get away with it in odyssey bosses, everyone else is probably trying to fail the run. I have 3 quad herc feet with good accuracy that pair nicely with the base 2 TA. I think the glassiest, mess-around set i have is 11qa 16ta 21da + temper when i have samurai roll up on RUN. I need that R30 Bunzi Hat now... ![]() Shame I don't play BRD. I'd probably kill for similar stats on Valorous Feet. Especially my Chironic Hose augs. QA/STP/Critical DMG+ on valor feet would be pretty solid of you can afford losing the Meva/-DT Asura.Midgitis said: » That math is certainly wrong yes. I wouldn't go for any QA on RDM beside the obvious Bunzi head. You have so much TA from TemperII that wearing StoreTP is much more beneficial than further increasing multi hit rate, especially that QA will reduce effectiveness of your TA. Is there any testing of what Cichol's Mantle's "Double Attack" damage +20 does ?
Nariont said: » +20% damage on a double attack And since some people are sometimes confused about this, +20% damage on double attack means +20% on both hits and it doesn't work on WS. Mlv50 War here, I've been working on a ultimate lua for the job but spending hours upon hours testing things, is very lengthy in time so one day I'll get back to working on it, it's mostly done but with getting R30 Odyssey gear I need to rework lot of things,
Though this is something special and close to my heart as the second person to get Ukonvasara it has always been my baby. It is very fun to use ideally you want to /sam or drk for JA haste, but most /drg Ukonvasara AM3 Set White Damage No Buffs:DA101% QA3% CritRate28% CritDMG37% DAD35% PDL39% ACC1416 ItemSet 365259 Seeing that +2 earring makes me hate you long time >.>
I actually have X2 +2 both min aug but got to keep em for the flex :p
I have been trying to follow the "Single Wield 4" TP set at https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Community_Warrior_Guide but I don't understand why it isn't full sakpata? Also, are Sakpata Leggings R0 better than Pumm. Cuisses +3 even though it offers more Double Attack (DA)?

Also, are Sakpata Leggings R0 better than Pumm. Cuisses +3 even though it offers more Double Attack (DA)? Because that guide is old, simple as that. I don't think many people are bothering with DW builds nowadays - it's either 2h or 1h, especially since no subjob in Ody means no DW available there ever. Play around with it hit that 100% DA
Single wield Fencer set I use this note my sakpata's is R30 as well as Blurred Shield +1 -- DT50% DA100% -- sets.engaged.PDT = { ammo="Aurgelmir Orb +1", head="Sakpata's Helm", body="Sakpata's Breastplate", hands="Sakpata's Gauntlets", legs="Sakpata's Cuisses", feet="Sakpata's Leggings", neck={ name="War. Also, are Sakpata Leggings R0 better than Pumm. Cuisses +3 even though it offers more Double Attack (DA)? It's not full Sakpatas, because full Sakpatas has less double attack, accuracy, store TP, and haste. Full Sakpata's as a set only has 16% gear haste. On top of that it has relatively low DEX and accuracy compared to Empy+3 or even Flamma +2 gear (unless it's R20+ and has more accuracy on it from augs). The real question you should be asking is why it doesn't incorporate Empy+3 body instead of the Odin HTBF body. Then you remember that BG Wiki is not the be all, end all for information, and they often time list sets that are only ideal from an offense standpoint and tend, for some reason, to ignore that MEVA is crazy good. Or that set bonuses do proc. Been a while since i played, anyone have up to date tp/ws sets? Not sure how much has changed but stopped playing when oddy first dropped.

Not sure how much has changed but stopped playing when oddy first dropped. https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/All_Jobs_Gear_Sets/Warrior that's a decent source. though you will have to play around and make the set your own. personally, this is my all purpose tp set main="Naegling", sub="Blurred Shield +1", ammo="Coiste Bodhar", head="Sakpata's Helm", neck="War. Beads +2", ear1="Schere Earring", ear2="Boii Earring +1", body="Hjarrandi Breast.", hands="Sakpata's Gauntlets", ring1="Chirich Ring +1", ring2="Niqmaddu Ring", back="Cichol's Mantle", waist="Ioskeha Belt +1", legs="Agoge Cuisses +3", feet="Pumm. Calligae +3" with that set, I have (numbers may be slightly off) 102 DA 32 stp 39 da damage 18 crit 27 dt 11 pdl 3 QA the weaponskill sets listed in that link are fairly solid. I personally get good mileage out of that tp set, but everyone has their preferences. it does rely on capped haste and sam roll to be efficient, so bear that in mind oh empy+3 gear finally came out. I see it took over a lot of slots. This is perfect! thank you. Assuming Sakpata pieces needs to be augmented to be usuable or base can right out do it?
Dodik said: » Mine is 4/5 Sakpata and Empy body, rest the same. Yeah this is my "All-Purpose Base TP" set, regardless of weapon. The body is a great TP piece even if single-wielding. I guess Odin Body is decent swap as well, though empy is more efensive. so personally, I prefer odin because of the crit. you lose 1 store tp, and 2 DT, for 13% crit rate. that's a pretty sizable boost in dps. most times, that 1 STP isn't going to bring you into the next tier of 1k tp/hit so with or without it, I 'm still a 4 hit ws setup. I also like the relic legs for the additional 11% double attack damage. yes, you lose 1 DA and 7 pdl when compared to sakpata, but I'm already DA capped and 11% more damage on each auto attack is 11% more damage.
I do have a full DT set which subs in the sakpata body and the nyami feet, also sub in the D ring for the chirich to bring the DT to at least 50, while still keeping DA at 100. Fencer
ItemSet 399110 2h ItemSet 399111 Moonlight rings if you can afford them are nice, Start stacking more and more sakpata vs things that will kill you or enfeeble you to the point you can no longer dps. It's more than dt and STP. It's meva, defense, and evasion too. Empy body has higher attack and accuracy regardless of weapon and significantly more if you're using gaxe. Odin body is better for Crit builds like ukon, but imo you need to go all in with Crit pieces for them to shine. By all means, if you're looking you add extra white damage by means of the body/legs slot, have at it. I wasn't knocking the decision, was just seconding what Dodik seemed to imply where his sets look like they are made to be as tanky as they can be, which I've also found isn't even that big of a DPS hit to warrior.
I haven't found any real use for relic legs in any of my sets tbqh. |
