Mavi set is probably the least appealing JSE for lockstyle... I'd lockstyle in teal before mavi.

Any recommendations on a BiS White Wind set(s)? Been working on tinkering around with to maximize the returns and figure the optimal balance between HP Max+ and Cure potentcy % available.

What kinds of #'s are people getting?

ItemSet 332524

This is my current set. I don't know if everything is the absolute best in slot, especially since I haven't used White Wind in quite some time. Last I checked, though, this was hitting for about 900 HP. Swapping the neck for phalaina gorget might be better, but I've still never been able to get one, so I stick with what I have.

Haha I'm with you on this one, but strangely enough there are people out there who like the Mavi spaceman look.

BLU relic set looks so much nicer...

I'd like a lockstyle recommendation though, what's the nicest looking pair of black boots? I really dig the black/red motif of my idle gear, with Uson/Bura, Mekosu. Harness (no Respite Cloak yet but I'd never lockstyle in that anyway), Lithelimb Cap (or Goblin Mask!), and W.legs. Only flaw is that Qaaxo feet or any BLU JSE feet don't match. Suggest something so I can inventory-1 in the name of fashion!

I generally lockstyle in either af2/af2-109/119 or homam/enif gear though homam goes better with Uson/bura/xiu.

For pure pimp dinner attire of course wins.

I actually like the look you get with mixed iutl / qx but to each their own. As for the "Blu" look Relic, then go laugh and point at the emo immortLs at the staging points in their AF. Really need to remove extra dialogue when speaking to them on blu... heard the same sob story from each 20+ times... its sickening.

How about Manibozho Boots? If you like the black/red aesthetic, you could pair those with Homam/Enif Cosciales for the legs. That's what I used for the longest time along with the max tier head piece, Uk'uxkaj Cap. I settled for the Mavi body out of a lack of better options. Mavi Bazubands look alright, too. Rest of it looks dreadful/hookerish, though.

Then that awesome extra BCNM drops campaign came around with Legion abjurations. Now I'm sporting Kheper Jacket, Kecks, and Gamashes.

When I lockstyle, I use some variant of this set.

/bow, that's what I needed! Thanks for reminding me of Homam, took the shoes/hands out of storage and it does indeed look slick with my black & red fashion set :)

On a more serious note, what are the best current magical BLU spell options for the visible armor slots OTHER than augmented Hagondes +1? And what's the order of priority for Hagondes if I felt like doing a couple?

I went through the augment hell for my alt's BLM Hag+1 set, but with my main having zero Hagondes jobs besides BLU (and BLU being a job I tend to play a little more casually than my "mains"), I'm not all that excited about doing the skirmish augment thing on BLU all over again.

Umm what ever u dont have with MAB.

So likely Body then legs hat hands feet.

But will want body legs hat if u have nilas gloves and manaabysse pigashes.

Can likely do all and just nq stone some mab to hold u over till u +1 the set. NQ Hago is also an option if not priority.

I've kept my hagondes at NQ and have had no complaints about their performance. By not upgrading, you lose out on a handful of stats per piece and some defense, evasion, and magic evasion. Nothing major in terms of damage at all. There's still the augment lottery Hell for NQ, but the stones are at least cheaper than HQ.

If you're adamant in avoiding the lottery, I believe this set may work decently.

Meh, mavi boots and head look a bit weird though i like the wings on the turban. The body looks really cool and has nice detail and the blue scarf. The gloves incorporate metal into it which i also like. I think it looks cleaner and more refined that the other two sets, less clashing purples and golds and browns. Even though blue isnt the predominant color of the mavi set, the silver pieces on the body and the buttons look more noble, like a master blue

I had tossed on Shneddick+1 as another option (MAB+17 INT+28), but yeah... after looking at it more closely I switched mine to NQ Hag legs (no MAB aug) till I can manage to get some more upgrades to +1 pieces.

Assuming no Hagondes MAB augments, I'm leaning toward the following:
ItemSet 332576

AF Head/ Manabyss feet seem good enough for my purposes that Hagondes is less appealing to really bother with. While not listed, if I managed to grab Nilas I'd use those too. I'll prob toss a few stones at body/hands/legs, but I'm not going to go crazy on them. If I get lucky on MAB or Macc, cool. If not, oh well.

Acumen ring for 10k sparks is 4MAB. Can get like 1-15mab ok hagondes pieces with nq verdigris stones which Ah for like 1k.

Better off upgrading nq hagondes pieces with nq verdigris before thinking about upgrading hagondes with trans ki to +1 as wailing stones are much more expensive.

Agreed. I always liked the way mavi (fun fact: it means "blue" in Turkish) set looks. The only part I don't like is the blue fan-shaped piece on the back of the body. It looks redundant. Also the legs look so plain and simple under the elongated body and boots. I wish they had more detail.

I have been using CDC > sinker > blooddrake > sinker recently which seems to put out some nice numbers. Not entirely sure if that is the best but it works well enough for me.

LOL of course the day after I write this, I upgraded all three of Hag body/hands/legs to +1. And using only the stones that dropped in skirmish runs I've done in the past few days, managed to get MAB+27/+21/+24 augs. So, thanks for listening to me complain about augments?

I was messing around with AL the other day and somehow chained light with thrashing, i'm not sure if it was heavy strike>thrashing but it was badass. I want to say it was like heavystrike>cdc>sinker or something. It was definitely a spell>cdc>thrashing.

I've recently picked up BLU again and have been playing it in a pretty straightforward fashion. The other night I did an Einherjar T3 run (gotta love ichor farming) and there was a JP BLU in the group that was destroying everything. I normally parse the highest in the group but his damage was just unreal. I contribute some of his damage to the fact that all of his Hagondes gear was well augmented, (mine is mostly setup for SMN and am working on a second set for nuking) but what had my attention the most was the variety of spells he was using. I know I saw at least Tempest Upheaval and Retinal Glare doing in excess of 4k dmg. My question is this: what are some of the better nuking spells that you guys are using when your only focus is dealing massive amounts of magic dmg, both aoe and single target? I have been using the AOE Spec spellset listed on the first page of the guide and it has served me well, but what spells would you set for the situations I mentioned? Namely Einherjar and fodder destruction.

Subduction, Whirl of Rage, Tempestuous Upheaval, Glare... They can all do pretty decent damage if you gear them well and choose them based on the target.

I've added Retinal Glare and Tempest Upheaval to a new "project" spellset but are there any others that are worth mentioning? I've heard that Embalming Earth can be pretty decent too but haven't yet tried it. The last time I used BLU for any kind of nuking was back in the whisker burn abyssea days. I feel like I missed memo on these newer nukes.

They can be, but high recast and mp cost kinda kills them for practical spamming. A good subduction set will yield 3-4K on trash that you'd want to AoE, and the gravity is seriously useful if you get in over your head and need to get a bit of range to cure yourself or wait on recast.
