I have the pet attack+ fire axe. However, recent testing makes me rather think the player attack+ is a better choice.

Certainly for significantly lower level mobs, the attack+ for pet is doing very little or nothing at all.

Are WS gorget and belt better than Wanion Belt/Justiciar's for Ruinator?

This is one I've been working on. It's a hybrid TP setup maximizing pet haste and trying to get the most out of haste for myself as well. Just throwing it out there for people that want to integrate into their own sets or improve upon what is already known.

I feel like I'm gonna be a master of slightly random questions in random topics, but does Ruinator have any penalties like Exenterator has -acc and Requiescat/Resolution/Blade: Shun has -atk? I've been eyeballing my damage in several mobs esp in DC Dynamis and get anywhere from 1.7k-4.5k damage.

If so I'll probably consider putting more acc in my WS set like Moonshade instead of Centaurus/Flame Pearl and AF3+2 Feet instead of Dilaram's Sollerets.

No penalties, Ruinator just has an immense attack bonus. It's kind of ridiculous how good that thing is.

Ok so i'm messing around with my spreadsheet that I got off of google docs ffxi dps spreadsheet, it has AF3+2 body beating phorcy's, and Toci's for WS by 200 dmg on DC and 300 on EP. Am I smoking some strong ***or is this actually correct?

It's because you have Killer Effects/Killer Instinct active. You can set them on/off on the main page of the spreadsheet.

My current BST/DD set right now, sitting at 24% Haste. Wondering if it's better to either switch feet for Ryuga, Moepapa for Twilight, or just keep it the way it is? (Personally I want to get rid of Ryuga, BST was the only job I used them for and now I don't think I need them)

Due to the large amount of magic mobs my friends have been needing kills on lately I've started working on a set of pet magic defense bonus axes. Has anyone completed these and tried them out yet? I know Gooey is a good pet for magic mobs but I still find him getting his rear handed to him often enough to warrant making these.

If I'm going for master dd, I focus on master dd, if I go for pet dd I focus on pet dd.

I use twilight belt and ferine ocreae +2 for master. If I'm going for pet dd (significantly lower level targets is when pet priority dd is best) then I'll equip moepapa stone, spurrer beret, and augmented armada sollerets.

Get a bullwhip belt or twilight and you can cap your haste.Other then that your'e TP set up is fine imo.

That's the thing, I basically made this set for farming Dyna. I just don't know who has more priority in Dyna in order to be the most efficient, the master or the pet. Always been going as THF lately.

depends on how you are fighting. If you are fighting EP mobs in dyna, then you have ~25 levels on them. Your pet will be doing more damage than you are. Maxing pet haste and double attack will help (don't forget familiar w/ monster trousers +2)

However, my experience has been that I cannot have my pet attacking the mob I am trying to proc. I will get at best 3 cycles of step/flourish and the mob will be dead w/out any help from ruinator. However, max boosted pet works great if pet is cleaning up the mobs you've proc'd while you go proc another.

If you are fighting DC mobs then the pet does not have such an advantage. It may hit higher hits but it won't do more damage than you. I see a 60/40 split on DC mobs between me/pet damage I still find it advantageous to maximize pet damage on DC mobs however. it helps w/ tanking as well as killing.

Is there anything else besides Mirke Wardecors that reduce the timer on call beast?

I'm thinking about changing my merits from 5/5 call beast to 5/5 killer effect to boost my AF3+2 effect. The more I play, the more I realize that merits in Call beast is hardly much of a difference. Especially, since I farm and cook pet food.

Adaman/armada sollerets can be augmented with call beast delay-. Up to -10 I think.

Porthos Byrnie or Ogier's Surcoat are also options for hastecapping in that setup. Zelus sacrifices everything for 8% haste, which sucks when all you need is 2.

Switch the ferine head and body for Anwig Salade and Mirke, Ferine feet for Ryuga (As those feet are for Ruinator) and then you are set.

Haste for you is not as important as the stats for your pet. You could get beast bazubands and oneiros cappa if you want the pet to be more durable while you fight alongside. I don't use Ferine head and body anymore, I just dont see the point in wasting those slots. I keep atheling and brego with me incase im fighting trashy mobs so I can do more damage to them, otherwise I will just stick with Bazubands/Cappa.

That makes sense for a pet only set but you'd never want to DD in Salade, Mirke, Bazubands, or Cappa.

.... UUhmmmm

If we are still in the Dynamis context, then you really don't need the damage reduction from anwig salade. The pet haste is great though. I prefer spurrer.
Which also means beast bazubands and oneiros cappa are not worth it in dyna.
I'm not sure if beast bazubands are ever worth using. Especially after a BST gets skadi bazubands+1. This could change however, after any att/def adjustments.

It's gonna look ugly as hell, but this is the set I'm currently working on for bst.

If its too ugly, go for skadi+1 head and legs as well. Then they will all match, and its better dd as well.

Phocys legs are better than skadi+1 legs, but the difference is negligible.

Main reason is I'm a bit dubious that my salvage static will hold together long enough for the 255 plans I need as is, so I prioritized towards the most important pieces. If it does keep going long enough, I'll look into the other pieces as well.

My current Reward set. Could tone down the MND for head and legs time reduction, but i like doing almost 3k rewards with this. lol

As for the legs and head, I'd personally prefer the extra 25 seconds cut off of reward timer. The difference in hp healed would really only be about 2-300.

Decided to post it in here instead of making a new thread.

This is kinda what I'm aiming for right now; never been a fan of the hybrid thing. The Astolfo is a STR Astolfo. Thoughts?
