Has anyone been getting time-out connections issues with PoL lately? It gets stuck on "acquiring group friend list for me", and the farthest I ever get is the FFXI loading screen, but then it times out. Tried on both vanilla and windower.
It's likely comcast at&t etc, whoever you use.

Unfortunately I live in a rented room in a house, so I don't have much control over the internet/router etc. We probably use Bell or Cogeco.

YEah it can be that specific even with the ISP. There was a thing awhile back where this was happening to iirc some European ISPs
I'll just have to wait a see for now. Hopefully it just fixes itself.
Enter on job (+2) and kill midboss on job (+3). Same for Jeuno and body pieces even though they can be obtained in all areas.
Body pieces need entrance/mid-boss clear for all four zones, not just Jeuno.

Where is the file that keeps your login data in POL? I'm setting up a new laptop for FFXI and I seem to have completely forgotten my old password.

I don't think you can transfer this between PCs easily, anytime I've tried to use old login info files on a new PC/Fresh install, I get the fresh POL setup screen (even if I've already opened POL multiple times). You can change your POL password through the SE Account Management system website, where all you need is your SE ID/Password (I assume you know that info for billing purposes).
It's login_w.bin in playonline/squareenix/playonline/usr/all. However, it uses some form of encryption or verification to prevent it being copied elsewhere.

Stupid question but can anybody check what's the name in the JP client for the DRK ambuscade cape "Ankou's Cape"?
Am I wrong in saying this is probably an error in the english client and they meant "Ankoku"? Which means like "knight of the darkness" in japanese, and it's actually how they call DRK in JP?

I highly doubt that's the case when considering the names of the other capes.

Can you still only enter Arrapago Remnants once per earth day? I thought with the RoV KI salvage wait time was shortened to an hour.
That limitation is still in place.

What's so special about Arrapago that it's still a 1 day wait time?
It's the easiest and most rewarding area and people used to spam it exclusively.

To the point of actual congestion, not just on asura. lol
So instead of doing the smart thing, and fixing the other 3 zones, they did the square thing and nerfed the one zone. (and buffed bhaf to just below it)
All I wanted to do was kill the chariot, but then a Bhoot perditioned me, so rip I have to wait a full day to try again.

Access to norg and goth both khazham ariship pass and boarding pass
Have tenshodo members card KI
Rng is leveled to lvlv99 already so its not that blocking the mission.
Yet still she does not give me the ability to start the Mihgo's Amigo mission.

There is no requirement. Back in the day did it before I even made it to another town. But several things can block it
