So, a buddy of mine picked up 14 for me because he recently went back and has been enjoying it. He's currently on Excalibur but he doesn't have a particular attachment to the server. So, we're not sure if I should start there and see how we enjoy it or if we just both start fresh elsewhere.
I know a lot of you in here play 14, so I wanted to get some suggestions on popular NA servers that come to mind or just your personal recommendations. Really just looking for a chance at a nice community that won't lock me out of end-game if I end up sticking with the game.

I went to gilgamesh last night, 2nd most populated NA server. Balmung has the most people but they're mostly filthy casuals according to reddit.

Excalibur has most of us RT/Ni 14 players and we have an LS for FFXIAH members and friends if that's the sort of community you're looking for.
