I broke my foot and I'm in a cast. I work as a teacher. I just popped a wheelie in the hallway and road it down all the way to the teacher's lounge. My boss, the principal, saw me and yelled at me. I hope she gets hit by a bus this afternoon. That is what I'm thinking at this moment.

^ I'm in a wheelchair ofc.

I don't know tho, I know my boyfriend watches porn, I know what kind of porn he likes. Heck if I see something I think he'll like I show him. It isn't a big deal to me. But for her, its a certain type, mainly 'force' ones that she doesn't like. And right now she's debating on breaking up with him over it. Annnnd I'm sooo not understanding her reasoning. -sigh-
Ummmm best I can think of is potentially a fear of that could be something that gets him off..well not could clearly it is something that gets him off and I could understand why someone could feel awkward if dating someone into that. He doesn't have to be a rapist to like it no, but it's still some what strange. No different than someone who doesn't partake in bestiality getting off to dog porn...it's still weird.

You're right. How dare there be fun and happiness in the school environment.

Honestly the best teachers to me are always the ones who make things fun to learn. Not enough good teachers out there, and to many strict administrators.

Actually it's the other way around, it's the strict teachers that actually try to educate you so you're ready for college and for real life.

Yeah, he'd be a cool teacher but acting like a 5 year old isn't the way a teacher should act. He's supposed to be there to support the students, not be a student.

There's a difference between teachers who make things fun, and those who act like five year olds.. You don't have to be strict to educate and prepare kids..

How does doing wheelies in a hallway have anything to do with teaching?
Edit: and then wishing death on someone (even if it was sarcastically (hopefuly))

Yeahhhh around here it's the only way they see it. That's why I have always found the fun and entertaining teachers best regardless of what level. Just always more inclined to keep my attention. Was the same in grade school as University. Math professor talk...boring.... Religion professor bouncing around the auditorium making his lecture fun. Didn't miss a class!

You know what I meant Slip =<

Still, Doing a wheelie isn't being "fun" it's being childish. Also his students probably think he's an dork for doing it and think even less of him.
(I've had teachers who think they were fun by doing things like that, but in reality, we just laughed at them and took advantage of them)

The best teachers I had weren't the ones that were doing tricks in wheelchairs or handstands in the hallways. They were the ones finding creative and innovative ways to teach the class and captivate the students making them want to learn the subject. The strict ones as well as some more lenient ones were able to accomplish this. The ones I had that were doing tricks, telling tales of their glory days and trying to be your good pal weren't the ones that shined, in my own experience at least.

Being too lenient and sending out the vibe that you can do whatever the hell you want does just that, lets them do whatever they want and what does that really accomplish? Being to strict can be detrimental to the environment as it can keep kids from wanting to participate or be able to enjoy the class. A good balance I've found is always the best way too go. You have to have control of your classroom as well as create an environment conducive to learn where the kids can feel like they can participate freely.

AS for the principal coming down on him... Administration is there for a reason and (i'm not sure about this school) but most schools have rules about running in the hallways and other such things. The teachers aren't supposed to subvert authority and contribute to fostering the students reckless behavior. Teachers are supposed to set examples and lead.

Yes I know what you meant, but it was worth saying. Actually being too strict is counter-productive. There's a balance somewhere between doing wheelies in the hallway and "no talking, no sleeping, no texting, no fun, today is test day, tomorrow is test day, everyday is homework, you start failing in my class and I'm going to come down hard on you." that's important to try and maintain.

I had a teacher in high shcool make fricken english class excieing and I think I learned more from that english(like grammar and ***not speaking) class then any other years english so yeh it most deffinetly works. Yes I know my spelling and grammar suck but that's because I have a tendency to not bother when it's not something important. At the same time though any teacher I have had that pulled this off also made sure the line was drawn and clearly visable. They would do their best to make in enjoyable but that didn't meen they would slack on material at all and if they had to would put their foot down. The math teacher I had in collage seemed to go by "I'm going to make everybody like me by doing this corse so patrinizingly easy that everyone will get 90s"... After the first 3 weeks I went into that class for the tests only and just went through the material on my own because I really couldn't take the 3 hours of sitting there thinking "For real? I spent money on this?".

So it most deffinetly does work when teacher make their corse fun such as the english teacher I mentioned who would allow for open discussion at just about any time. But if they take it too far such as that math teacher that took 7min (yes we timed her) to get through moveing a decimal point it's not gunna work out so well.

Edit: Alot of teachers you will look at at the time and think, "Wow their great the class is so fun and easy" but then a few years down the line when you actually have to use that stuff and all you can remember is the teacher cracking jokes and dancing around you might look at it differently.

Ironic, Ina talking about English class while butchering English. :3

Recipe for amazing grilled cheese sammich:

2 slices of any kind of sandwich bread you like (plain wheat for me)
Spreadable butter or margarine
Garlic and sea salt (from a grinder if possible!)
Any kind of shredded cheese you like (I like mexican blend)

Spread butter/margarine on one side of each slice. Grind garlic and salt onto the buttered sides and place one in skillet on medium high. Add liberal amount of cheese, to your liking, and then top with other slice of bread, butter side up. (If the cheese doesn't melt before the bread is done grilling, cover the skillet) You should be able to just flip the sammich over but use a spatula if your motor skills are zombie-like. Grill both sides to liking (I like a small amount of burnt for lil more flavor) and serve. Voila, wonderful grilled cheese sammich.

What? No bacon?!
Regardless, that sounds pretty delish.
I kinda made delicious makeshift garlic cheese biscuits using the typical self rising flour, egg, milk mixture, rolled them into sticks or balls, coated them with melted butter and rolled them in a Parmesan cheese and minced garlic mixture, then bake!

I hate grilled cheese that's just had butter spread on it.. The best grilled cheese is when you stick a teaspoon or so of butter in a hot pan, mash it down (or it ends up burning away before it's all melted) then throw in the dry bread, with the cheese and whatever else you want, and use the bread to soak up the melted butter, toast that side til it's golden brown, remove, repeat with the butter melting, then do the same to the other side. Bit more work, but by far, worth it.
