I hate grilled cheese that's just had butter spread on it.. The best grilled cheese is when you stick a teaspoon or so of butter in a hot pan, mash it down (or it ends up burning away before it's all melted) then throw in the dry bread, with the cheese and whatever else you want, and use the bread to soak up the melted butter, toast that side til it's golden brown, remove, repeat with the butter melting, then do the same to the other side. Bit more work, but by far, worth it.
ughhhh, just got back from the hospital ... again :x
apparently I either have gallstones or have to just get my gallbladder taken out.
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuun.
fml.
My mom had her gallbladder removed not too long ago.
It's more prominate in women, but men can have gallstones too and it hurts like a mother ***.
Should look into having it removed if it becomes a consistent problem.
Why? I skimmed over it on wiki <_< I didn't like what I saw.
I absolutely hate liver and cabbage, and they seem to be recurring elements.. Not too fond of Rye bread, either.
Well their foods tend to emphesize heavily on being creamy, rich, and butter saturated. Perhaps more so in the dessert category, but I'm sure you get what I mean.

Never tried it this way, but I might just to taste the difference.

I used to spread when I was little as it was faster. Now that I use real butter, I melt it in the pan too. :L...
You should, you might not get it right the very first time, it'd help if you found a video of someone doing it.. The goal isn't to saturate the bread with butter, just to get a light coating. Soon as you put the bread in the skillet, use your hand and move the bread all over the entire pan (it'll help even it out). Try to spread out the butter before you put the bread in, don't just have it in like a little pool that's only going to go onto the middle of the bread. Also, after it's coated good, smash it down a bit, so that all the bread is making good contact with the pan.

The only problem I ever have is the second side never looks as good as the first. Never can quite get the golden/brown shade on the second side. :/

Turn the heat on the pan down about halfway through cooking the first side, turn the heat back up once you get the butter in there. It's a matter of timing to get it right though.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
