Yeah, this is the best I have gotten so far, ~12 attempts.

Sell hachiryu, farm athos/koga+2 feet, buy Oce. Head (nq or +1)

I was under the assumption that Shura Zunari Kabuto +1 with Attack/Conserve TP/WS Damage +3% augment is marginally better than Ocelemeh Headpiece/+1.

Also the fact that Shura scales with gear correct? As in your other slots get better, Shura +1 performs better (depending on augments).

Ocelomeh is better when the DEX is relevant. Shura scales somewhat with gear but the attack and STR still depreciate. It's obviously the clear winner in Abyssea, but barring very strong augments they'll be about the same otherwise if dDEX is low. I'm currently using Ocelomeh +1 due to inventory restrictions (Ocelomeh is also my hybrid eva, Usu midcast, idle, and Blade: Shun head along with using it extensively on BLU) and crappy luck with my Shura augments.

As other improvements go, augmented SKote are worth mentioning.

I guess I should pick up an Ocelomeh +1 then, lol, seeing as I do play my BLU and THF every now and than. Now to see if I can find one for less than 10 million gil.

Purely focusing on inside Abyssea atm, ideas for what could be improved upon to make the most impact?

I see obviously could upgrade to Stormsoul Ring, Scopuli Nails, Ocelomeh Headpiece. But a few other questions.

Windbuffet belt, anyone?
What about getting a Rancor Mantle instead of the Rancor Collar is a better option?
Besides augmented Byakko's Haidate, is there anything else better than Ambusher's Hose?

Sources I've read tell me that it gives +5% Crit damage, so it should be an upgrade over Loki's...of course, it comes from *** VW so I wouldn't blame you if you got discouraged.

i play a mithra so got over 100 base dex, and from what i see so far people seem to be focusing equaly on dex and agi. But agi is the modifier.

I just got my kannagi and would like a bit of advice. A few questions.

1) Is it better to use elemental belts and gorgets or stack more AGI/(what ever) in those slots?

2) Should i also be stacking attack also?

My Blade: Hi averages 4k in side, 2.5k out, but spikes close to 6 in and 3.5-4 out. I am currently mad stacking AGI in every slot cept elemental belt. I know there is room to improve.

i dont know how all the formulas work and what not to decide whats best to wear.

also in aby i use Apoc, RR, and GH

For neck and belt I believe that non elemental items such as rancor collar/hope torque combined with Anguinus are typically better.

As I understand it due to the 4.00 modifier the elemental belt/neck combo doesn't add alot to :Hi.

I would put some attack where you can. IMhO large amounts of attack or double attack would out weigh smaller amounts of AGI. For instance why I would say anguinus > crudelis belt for this reason.

People stack DEX outside to maintain crit rate as much as possible. Inside using RR GH combo I think you can pour on AGI.


Here is my set, things I am actively working to improve, hope torque or rancor collar on my neck, seriyu kote and byakko haidate with proper augments. This is by no means "the best" but IMO it's an easily attainable balanced starting set

Dynamis Bubu on DC mobs for farming currency / steps, I can get the other two ninjas Hi sets, I know Yanns was something that looked like it'd be use inside abyssea.

Xeno's was closest to resemble mine, only difference was he used the Ocelo. Headpiece, Iga Backpiece , and Lithe

im gonna have to run a parser on mine with and w/o kitty pants as well as iga hands compared to kotes. I may even compare a rancor collar if i can barrow one. dont want to blow almost a mil for asomething thats not even going to get me anything.

also are kitty pants only good if they are well augmented? Do they make it better even with no augments?

Of course I'd lose the parse, I'm a damn Taru. Half way through the run, we noticed that Iga wasn't a great choice for an outside set, so I switched into Atheling. Haidate are augmented with +3% Crit. DMG. On the never-ending search for AGI and Crit. *le sigh*

Another thing that was different between mine and Neko's was: her Kannagi is 90'd, mine's 85. We didn't think it'd make that much of a difference, but.

Taru's Law: Automatically lose any melee parse before it even begins. What are you doing playing a melee?

Yes it will get you something.. and I'm sure with your current set you won't it be capped to where it won't give you more dmg out put.


And yes... kitty pants with augments are better than no augments.. and only good cause of the dex+15 and crit hit dmg+ on them. Otherwise for anything super evasive wear your iga legs and where you won't get use out of the kitty pants.

Do you have a proper source for this? The only good information I've seen suggested ~2%/piece after the first.

At 2% the only pieces worth using are the body and feet, and only if you have both (or are inside Abyssea). Otherwise, stick with Iga Ningi +2 and Koga Kyahan +2.

i use em cause i dont got the rare/ex pants yet. But i haven't got to compare em to haidate yet. My haidate dont got augments yet though


and as for Anookulchandra, of course with augments is better then with out. the question was are they still better to use in your opinion w/o augments. Or are they only worth wearing if augmented.

i wouldnt wear them without augments, mine have agi 4 crit dmg 4, i love them. go camp sky, getting a pop is a joke.

anguinus belt is better than that soil thingy, and as for a neck, a rancor collar or hope torque. i think centaurus might do better than that agi earring too.

You make scraps out of the seal(s). You use those scraps that you get to augment your kitty pants. Consider augmenting your Seiryu's Kote as well.
