It's moments like these which makes FFXI a special game. Where fans of the series can bunch together and overcome obstacles. We grinded for over a year to become strong enough to tackle what the game has to offer. We're not hardcore players, none of us are elitist, we don't show off and we always have time for those who need help. We win and lose like a family. When we lose, we come together to figure out why. I've always hated having to lead stuff, but these guys make it easy. I've always found the best group of players are those who do what you want, before you even thought of asking them too. They take it upon themselves to do what is right given the situation, and that's due to practice, it's due to listening. It's due to wanting the best for everyone there. We don't have a LS bank. We don't have a points system. We don't have hoarders, we pass items/gear to whoeever needs it most. And we're not closed off to the world, we'll take anyone who is willing to do what they can to win. I already said my thanks in our post in the Cerberus sub-forum. So when someone says you need to be on a populated server to make an Aeonic, let it be known that it doesn't matter how many players are on the server, so long as you can find a nice, small group of players who want to succeed, then anything is possible. It might take longer, but the journey is always better than the destination. We wear our Aeonics with pride, and we'll keep going as long as this remains fun. Peace out. ARRRRmageddon was my 'RME', made casually years ago, getting it to 85 seemed to take forever. Call it completionism, or just sentimental, reforging it to 119 today felt like a good way to honor the gun that brought me to more serious endeavors and the endgame of XI. Wonders of Travel #5 [Misareaux Coast]: Misareaux Coast is a beautiful coastline in the majestic Tavnazian Archipelago. With it's amazing majestic Waterfalls, it's lush Green landscape and crystal clear waters, it has become one of my favorite CoP (Chains of Promathia) areas. I've travelled here many times over the years. Writher it be doing missions, on the way to Tavnazia Safehold, or exploring the area looking for adventure, I always felt a calming sense of peace whenever I'm here. Whenever you have time, take a clear look at the majestic waterfall. It will free your mind and heart of all stress and hardship. Thank you Misareaux Coast, for the many peaceful memories and beautiful rainbow falls that represents hope and tranqulity. Took me 13 years to finally get this. Only relic I ever really wanted. Past 2 years i haven't been able to play a whole lot due to rl stuff but this is a good way to say goodbye to FFXI. Reminiscing. I remember back in 05, I needed help with the Tower fight for AF Head, but no one in my LS was strong enough. I talked to a random guy about it, and soon enough he was taking me up the tower with a six-man party. I can't remember his name, but after a hard fought battle I was happy to finally complete the set. Fast forward to 08, I had been doing Dynamis, and (after two dc's as it dropped in the pool!) got the Abyss head from Xarcabard. I was happy again, and I felt a need to return to the tower, chill, and take a screenshot. I started using ffxiah.com in 2010, and my profile picture has been the one in the top right ever since. Eight years later, I finally updated the pic. I sit in the tower as we speak, remembering all the times anyone thanked me for playing the job well. Remembering all the times I gave advice to new DRKs, and the times when better DRKs told me off for doing it wrong. Yes, this is another DRK screenshot, but it's also a story, one I will continue for the love of the job. I get emotional sometimes, (and I'm a writer), so I guess DRK suits me in that way . Now I just need to miss an Insurgency entirely and everything will be right with the world. The End.Reminiscing. Since the viability of Trust-soloing third-wave Arciela on SCH came up, I actually had an opportunity to test it out and I can say for certain it's entirely possible. Cast helices based on the day into Ascension or Descension, not against them and use NPC's that complement you tanking as opposed to an NPC tank. She has not one single physical source of damage, so she cannot hurt you if you keep Regen on. It didn’t take very long for August to bite the dust. Screenshot taken from behind so that you can see she has no bonnet and is in fact the Arcliela that may come in the third wave. As for her choice of Naakuals, I got Kumhau twice, and one of Colkhab and Yumcax, which explains why my NPC's are all dead. Thanks also to thorva who kindly gifted the final push of pluton to finish. Lu Shangs + Minnow = many Norg Shells at level fishing 45 past the waterfall inside the Sea Serpent's Grotto. That first green pond on the map H-7. Might take an hour or 2 minutes. Worth it since they are 100k a piece. I've thrown away 6 in the last hour, can only hold 1 at a time and there are two for sale on ffxiah atm on Asura. Btw, come to Asura.
