Reminiscing. I remember back in 05, I needed help with the Tower fight for AF Head, but no one in my LS was strong enough. I talked to a random guy about it, and soon enough he was taking me up the tower with a six-man party. I can't remember his name, but after a hard fought battle I was happy to finally complete the set. Fast forward to 08, I had been doing Dynamis, and (after two dc's as it dropped in the pool!) got the Abyss head from Xarcabard. I was happy again, and I felt a need to return to the tower, chill, and take a screenshot. I started using ffxiah.com in 2010, and my profile picture has been the one in the top right ever since. Eight years later, I finally updated the pic. I sit in the tower as we speak, remembering all the times anyone thanked me for playing the job well. Remembering all the times I gave advice to new DRKs, and the times when better DRKs told me off for doing it wrong. Yes, this is another DRK screenshot, but it's also a story, one I will continue for the love of the job. I get emotional sometimes, (and I'm a writer), so I guess DRK suits me in that way . Now I just need to miss an Insurgency entirely and everything will be right with the world. The End.Reminiscing. Since the viability of Trust-soloing third-wave Arciela on SCH came up, I actually had an opportunity to test it out and I can say for certain it's entirely possible. Cast helices based on the day into Ascension or Descension, not against them and use NPC's that complement you tanking as opposed to an NPC tank. She has not one single physical source of damage, so she cannot hurt you if you keep Regen on. It didn’t take very long for August to bite the dust. Screenshot taken from behind so that you can see she has no bonnet and is in fact the Arcliela that may come in the third wave. As for her choice of Naakuals, I got Kumhau twice, and one of Colkhab and Yumcax, which explains why my NPC's are all dead. More SNES-y fun. The one on the left was made before the other sprite I uploaded, but I was on hiatus from the game at the time so I had forgotten that the Black Mage color scheme in XI was more subdued than in earlier games, so the one on the right is a fixed version. Based on my current in-battle equipment, I made the full-AF one because the Justaucorps +1 is hideous no matter what format it's in.More SNES-y fun. I know, this one is mildly ridiculous. I blame overcompensating for the scarf! Worst part was when I was told I had spent a day making "Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders" ._.;; Oh well. Not as happy with this one as my SCH one but it worked out okayish (although I really like the high heels and the nail polish)! It is actually much prettier in game, MV doesn't like showing detail on light toned armor so I tweaked it a bit. My take on WHM. Much the same concept as my other AF3 mods. If you don't like it, don't use it ^^ The white is of course not quite as bright and washed out as my viewer images make it seem - it matches the original. Two different bows included (cause I sucked at trying to make something from the hat) and two different hands (gloves and cuffs as shown). There are two shorts and one skirt version of the legs included as well. As usual ,the full set is available for download on Neko Sentai and http://ffxidats.caarrie.org/My take on WHM. 9 years, 5 retirements and 3 attempts to build, I've finally accomplished my ultimate goal in ffxi! There are many thanks to be said throughout the years, and while the importance of this has lost it's luster for it's now a dime-a-dozen achievement, I consider this more of a sentimental trophy dedicated for the many who have come and gone on this long journey of mine. Let us first summarize and give thanks to Dienamis linkshell, my first Dynamis LS who got the Attestation of Vigor and Necropsyche for me back in 2005. I would also like to thank Grand Design for helping me obtain the Tenebrous Fragment in 2009. Ultimately, there are too many people to name but this relic was built and is not solely mine for it's entirety also belongs to one of if not my best in-game / become RL brother, Seshu. Since the Dynamis Updates in 2010, we have gone inside farming currency for me and though we retired in Feb 2012, we came back 9 months later and put in 2 months more of work to finish HIS and MY relic. Again, my heart and gratitude go out to all who have been there for me during this journey and though I may not specify each one, you know who you all are! Much love and yes, I troll'd and muled back my 75 gear just for the screenshot! This past summer Mijiza and I got to meet some of our oldest LS members/friends (8 years) IRL while traveling the states. Court (far left), Mistymay (next to Court), and Basic (far right). It was pretty great coming back to the states and seeing friends. It's been a great summer of meeting FFXI friends! And we are one short of a fully party...
