My Chocobo Changed Genders

For the first 16 or 17 days, my chocobo was coming up as "seems to be a female", then yesterday, it suddenly became "seems to be a male." Now I have a male chocobo named BeautyFoot. WTF.

I've been on a STR/END path with him/her, but would that cause the gender to change? You can't have a female chocobo who runs like the wind? Maybe all chocobos start out as female? This is my first experience raising a chocobo.

This is a known issue in the latest patch.

Chocobos should never change gender due to care plans.

BeautyFoot has been listening to a lot of David Bowie lately. I should not have let her listen to music.

What if your chocobo wants to change gender? Mine is a female chocobo trapped in a male chocobo body.

He is often perky and in high spirits. This does not strike me as the attitude of someone who suffers from any sort of entrapment.
