Xbow Question

So, I'm 63 and still using a Thug's Zamburak when I pull or whenever I'm soloing. Haven't really seen anything I want to upgrade to until level 70 at least. Grosveneur's Bow seems good, but the Delay is a little high so I'm not sure. I don't think I'll be splurging on a Ziska's, but will possibly upgrade again to Staurobow at 74. Any other suggestions? Thoughts?

Ziska's Cross bow. TRUST ME. Its very nice for bloody bolts etc. Its a little pricey but its worth it.

Well I'll be buy a Blau, so can't see me getting a Ziska's for a while. I'm not a fan of the BC/KS/ENM scene.

Perdu Crossbow is a decent alternative to Ziska's. I wouldn't trade my Ziska's for the world but if you want something close to on par with it, that's what i'd look at.

Octant

No. Farming gil would get you a Ziska's faster.

I was gonna suggest Octant but I suppose Mogue's right. Leo Crossbow +1 is also decent and I just sold mine recently for 500k or so. Maybe if you want you can buy that.

If you're doing exp parties (since you said pulling), you should also consider bomb core (fire bomblet if you have the money) and darts. Of course at merit levels, thieves don't use acid bolts anymore because the time isn't worth the proc/land rate or even the time that it takes your attention away from the mob. But pre-75 I'd say it kinda depends on your party. If you're at a camp where bolts aren't landing/proccing at all, you may just be better off using a bomb core and pulling with darts. I highly highly recommend considering this if you haven't already.

Staurobow works if you want to upgrade your Xbow, but personally I am not a fan of low delay crossbows (even though I do believe they give better returns on bloody bolts iirc).
