Need help to decide which piece to upgrade first.

Head: DEF: 22 HP +10 AGI +8
CHR +8 Evasion +8
Ninjutsu skill +5

seems kinda meh tbh. not sure if eva + 8 & agi +8 beats o-hat on evasion.

Body: DEF: 46 HP +15 DEX +5 VIT +5
Enhances "Dual Wield" effect
Physical damage: "Shock Spikes" effect

I probably would have gotten this if i wasnt elvaan with ***acc, seems like decent tp piece otherwise.

Hands: DEF: 18 HP +13 STR +6 DEX +6
Ranged Accuracy +20 Ranged Attack +20
Throwing skill +5

might be ok WS hands?

Legs: DEF: 31 Accuracy +5
Ranged Accuracy +10
Dusk to dawn: Evasion +10

also seems kinda meh imo.

Feet: DEF: 15 HP +12 AGI +6 INT +6
Dusk to dawn: Movement speed +25%

Would only get these for the movement speed, iirc dusk til dawn is 50% of the time pretty much?

Body, AF+1 body is the best TP body for capped accuracy.

Body -> Feet -> Legs (if you are going day/night builds)

I'd say feet, honestly. Body is nice for obvious reasons but if you're using it, then you already have capped ACC, which means it only adds a menial amount of Crit boost. As for AF feet, the obvious thing would be 6 more minutes of being active, and of course 6 less of being inactive, for a total of 60% active time, and in that sense they beat, say, Strider's Boots or Crimson Cuisses over time. They're not bad for Ninjutsu nukes also, but meh.

It's not about the crit rate, its about the swing rate...

No, that's not my point. I'm saying as the increase over NQ AF. The only thing it gets is a roughly 1% increase in crit rate, upgrading from NQ to HQ. The DW doesn't increase at all.

Pretty sure you won't even cap accuracy on birds without sushi (maybe with exceptional gear?), so might as well take full advantage of the accuracy.

This, also what I am doing. Unless you get say Enkidu Hands for Day Jin, I use Koga at night though duh. Head is the best eva head iirc for NIN, Beats Emp/ress 10 eva 3 agi(or about 11.5 eva if you say 2 agi = 1 eva) and O hat flat 10(but has acc) Wivre +1 has 11, 8 eva 8 agi is about 12 eva and id take raw AGI(As in 8 agi 8 eva > 12 flat eva) for crit rate against and parrying etc bonus's of agi.

I see, that makes more sense. Shock spikes is a nice upgrade over blaze, but not a massive deal either.

A chance to stun if your shadows are down seems like a fairly big deal to me. Since I've obtained my Ninja Chainmail +1, I've been hit a few times without shadows and surprisingly the Shock Spikes procs very often. I'd say 50% or higher.

But if i TP in AF +1 body I'd lose 12 acc as well as 16 atk

Thing is, though, if you're casting and get hit, and stun the mob, then your casting gets interrupted and it gets un-stunned by the time you can cast again, lol, just depleting the purpose. I find it actually easier to coordinate my casts WITHOUT odd stuns going off, since I can track their delay etc and know exactly when to cast.

Other than that, obviously body gives better stats in the event you were to get hit, so it's definitely an improvement in that aspect. I just can't see it warranting trips to both Apollyon and Temenos, and 240k worth of ABCs just for such a tiny upgrade. I actually get a lot of use out of my AF+1 feet for kiting and such, and they're a lot cheaper ABCwise.

Don't TP in Relic body D: Haubergeon NQ is better.

:| And don't use full Usukane either, you can get both more haste out of a mixed-and-matched set, Turban, AF body, Dusk/Koga, Haidate, and Usukane feet give 25/26%, as opposed to Usukane giving a whopping 13%. Full Usukane is MNK onry.

Never attempted to camp KA, don't have gil for Cuch, currently working on Ares's from salvage, don't do HNM and no gil for Ancient... and yeah I should upgrade my acc rings at some point ;P

But then again, I don't main NIN.

I dont main nin either, I've been asked once to come nin on ls event lol. its usually brd or rdm onry!

TP in Rajas over Ulthalam's. Minimal sacrifice in accuracy for a hit saved to 100 TP, 1 fSTR, and some attack and critrate.

I rarely get asked to come NIN anymore. Only for like assist in dynamis, rarely as a tank in limbus... only times I really use NIN anymore is for tanking Charybdis.

And for that... evasion set!:o

I personally believe Rajas is almost a fulltime thing for all DDs, 'cept MNK if you have 2x Toreador's or Sniper's+1

it's sad really. I enjoy playing nin. I've had 1 merit pt on nin the past year or so, and was the most fun merit pt I've had in a very long time

Snipers/Rajas is better than my Snipers/Ulth... but I got the damn ring and I'm going to use it =/

On birds,



This set has like 75%ish acc w/o food and full merits(And you better 8/8 if you have Kikoku lol) Caps with Squid/Sole sushi.(424.925 Total Acc)

Both sets get TP in 22 hits(11 rounds)

Both cap on Sushi, but if you pop on Sole/Squid, just take off the Hauby+1 and slap on Chainmail+1 cuz you are capped either way, I guess you can eat meat with 81% Acc, you would be putting up some nice Jin's in a meripo w/ Minx2 meat and Kikoku(Unless Metsu is good?)

8/8 Katana Has 411 Total Acc lol, only 7% Haste ;o,

give NIN A+ in katana skill in a sneak update anytime soon plz D:

Coming from a long time NIN, I don't even consider taking NIN to merit parties. If you have any other DD jobs, you're probably better off going as that. That, and tanks are obsolete past LV55ish anyway.

And A+ Ninutsu? :O

And yea, but even for MNK it most likely takes off a hit and then it is usually better no?
