BiS TP Jump & High Jump Sets
ItemSet 401376
Argosy Sollerets +1 = HP+65, Double Attack+3%, "Store TP"+5 Lists yours below, i'm looking for the best tp gains for jump and high jump! War can wear Ostro greaves. Pretty sure Jump TP bonus+40(and +2% DA) will beat out Argosy handily. Though there is a bit of acc loss.
I'll be honest, I don't know how to gear for Jump properly ...so I just swap to these two items on top of whatever I'm currently TP'ing in:
crusher's gauntlets maenadic gambieras Just a combination of
Jump: TP+ gear Multi Attack Store TP Besides Ostro Greaves, I don't bother using other Jump pieces, but that's for DRG. Normally on WAR, if I use jumps, I just jump in my DT/DA gear (Sakpata) since switching out to Flamma or Tatenashi +1 is squishy (though better TP return). And if I'm not mistaken, unless you're a DRG, Jump is a slight DPS loss without all the Jump: TP+ pieces, but it's fine to use since High Jump serves a secondary purpose. Be carful what you share, it could get back to anyone...

Probably best just to jump in AF+4 feet for 4STP/9% DA Nothing is even close to Ostro in most situations. Even assuming 100%DA Ostro is ~15% TP gain increase, so you would need 15 sTP feet to match it if you wouldn't use any other store TP at all, which is unrealistic. With Samurai roll and jump TP set you have like 120 store TP. Meaning you would need +32 store TP feet to match Ostro. I'd also like to note that TP from jump TP bonus is affected by STP as well. So Ostro's +40 is also going to get boosted by all your STP+.
It's really too bad that Jump TP bonus only applies to the first hit. But.. it's already fantastic, so I suppose getting that boost on extra hits is a bit much. The tp gain increase really isn't going to do much of anything, not worth carrying extra gear. It's a DPS loss on longer fights and I might jump twice in a sheol c run. I really doubt it's going to change things by more than 0.001% but you do you Doesnt matter if the DA is 100% or not, that flat TP gain on the boots outweigh any other option currently available due it being flat TP. Typically jumps are used before a WS as well to minimize TP loss so id assume you would want the most TP out of that very short burst of TP before a WS Ragnarok.Martel said: » I'd also like to note that TP from jump TP bonus is affected by STP as well. Just to be clear my napkin calculation included both of those facts (stp affecting it and first hit only) K123 said: » I'm assuming under 100% DA without feet. I guess you do you. SimonSes said: » Ragnarok.Martel said: » I'd also like to note that TP from jump TP bonus is affected by STP as well. So Ostro's +40 is also going to get boosted by all your STP+. In general despite playing most of the jobs in the game, I do niche sets for few jobs I consider mains. If he is trying to make a jump set for WAR I would guess it's one of his main and he is also aware of his inventory space. K123 said: » Still delay and DPS loss, I'll let Simon do the paper math on that You dont really need a complicated math for this. It's pretty simple. Considering jump will give you slightly more TP than regular TP round, because you have items like Ostro and you don't need to include haste, then the only things that matters is delay. Something like Laphria has 488 delay. WAR with hasso and capped haste will lower that to 103.7, which is around 1.7 sec. Now Jump will apply either 1sec delay or 2 sec delay. Depends if you use it before other JA/WS or melee round. If it's 2sec, then it's most likely a slight TP gain decrease. If it's a 1sec, then it's significant TP gain increase. TL;DR Use jump in combo with other JA or WS if you want it to be a TP gain increase. unrelated to WAR but they're also the best for DRK. BST and PLD too but /drg isnt as common for those 2(specially PLD). Just a universally good piece.

Particularly true without JA0 Damn sorry, I forgot /drg means no hasso, so unless you have Haste Samba from DNC (haste samba from /dnc wouldn't be enough), jump is always (for weapons with more than ~380 delay) a TP gain increase with only 68.75% haste.

If you have a room for Ostro, it's by far the best Jump feet to use on WAR no matter what DA you have. SimonSes said: » K123 said: » If your TP set is 100% DA with max STP otherwise... I think he means you'd have to change your engaged tp set to fit the Ostro, but can't you just add Ostro to your jump and stay in the rest of you engaged set? imma get those boots and check it out. |
