It doesn't matter
If you have 2 COR or 2 SAM
There will be 3 party members doing 99999 damage
The problem I was having with another SAM
They kept doing Tachi: Mumei
Which causes only 2 party members doing 99999 damage

Omniman it's not worth engaging with him anymore, dude will pick a hill to die on like someone who refuses to resolve their past trauma.
I appreciate the write up, as I previously stated using cor and geo as well. But I'm curious how your cors are getting to 99999. With malaise/acumen and crooked wizards I'm topping out at 60k with 3k tp held. Are they also going at 3k or can they manage that with less tp? Granted I'm using Fomal on my cor and death penalty would definitely boost my dmg, but I didn't expect that death penalty alone would boost it 30-40k dmg. I was already planning to probably going push the next couple months to make death penalty. Even getting to 75k dmg to 2shot 135 mobs would be a huge time saver. You're right, I forgot call the single dd "trash like this other guy" when they don't get the message that only 99k jinpus are allowed.
YouTube Video Placeholder I got all the bells, just missing the whistle it seems! ML36 now too thanks to limbus and climbing higher every chest.
Just a few more thoughts that came up:
In MagicWS/hybrid zerg setups i'd try BST instead of RDM, BRD could do 2nd march and if needed go /WHM or /SCH (if it's not an hybrid setup where they can spam savage to contribute more), as bringing a SCH for storms2 alone isn't worth it imo, best to have another DD or an utility job which can also DD, like a COR, RDM or BST! A 2nd COR adding wizard or tactician/miser while still DDing with Savage/Leaden/Hot Shot could also work. BST in particular synergizes well for magic or hybrid setups thanks to Zhivago pet: - 1 charge fan shaped AoE dispelga - 2 charges fan shaped AoE -25 magic defense bonus with long enough duration since scales with tp while stacking with Geo-Malaise towards -50MDB debuff cap, increasing both hybrids and magicWS damage even further. Might be a rare chance for most decked out BSTs to use their Aymur Primal Rend set or Farsha Cloudsplitter with hybrid or magic WS oriented setups, definitely worth trying if you have the chance to bring a good BST in such a scenario. - Acuex pet also has AoE -25 Magic Def Bonus (2 charges ready move), but with fixed 60 seconds duration instead. What would the party setup look like?
I've been using BRD/COR/GEO/RDM/SAM/SAM RDM > Protect V / Shell V Guess you can have a friend Outside the party do that thought Omniman said: » What would the party setup look like? I've been using BRD/COR/GEO/RDM/SAM/SAM RDM > Protect V / Shell V Guess you can have a friend Outside the party do that thought if it's for pro/shell just have GEO/WHM do protectra/shellra3-2 and BRD add Victory March so you can bring either more utility/debuff or an extra DD instead of RDM! (unless RDM is already DDing hard enough to make it really worth it) To be fair RDM can be an exceptional DD in Limbus, at least with the regular "physical" setups spamming Savage Blade with Naegling.
I suppose RDM could deal decent damage even in a "magic/hybrid" setup, because we're discussing Frailty/Malaise setup where SAM spams Jinpu and COR uses Leaden, right? In such a setup a RDM with Crocea could use I guess Seraph Blade or Red Lotus Blade or Sanguine Blade, plus the additional damage from those 800+ enspell proccing on melee hits. Wouldn't be on par with the SAM I guess but it all adds up! Altough honestly, at least on level 135, even with just Frailty instead of Fury/Frailty, I'm confident Savage Blade would still hit pretty hard for >40k+ on each use. Only one number matters:
How long did it take to finish your climb? I'm also a BST
I would try BRD/BST/COR/GEO/RDM/SAM The two pets that interest me would be either Swooping Zhivago or Generous Arthur The GEO is running Geo-Malaise Maybe those pets might be able to give Tachi: Jinpu and Leaden Salute Better consistency than what it already is If it turns every WS into 99999 damage Hell ya If BST magic WS is meh They could swap to Savage Blade Like Sechs said I don't have an issue with RDM Have seen some doing 50K+ Savage Blades The only issue last week was with the other SAM Going to use Masamune as an example Have no issue with them doing Tachi: Fudo to get AM Than switching to Tachi: Jinpu That's what you should be doing Also it would be nice if BRD got in on the action and did Savage Blade But a lot just want to sing only It is what it is In those cases I would like to see them go BRD/SCH Windstorm > SAM Sublimation FTW Omniman said: » Also it would be nice if BRD got in on the action and did Savage Blade But a lot just want to sing only It is what it is Just put the GEO in the outside party if you're gonna Frailty+Malaise, it doesn't need to be in main group at all, if what you are going for is optimal efficiency/party slot comp (I really don't see the issue with bringing 6+1 or just more than 6). All the GEO has to do is Cure the Bard when he sleeps everything and he's on the hate list. You fill an extra slot for a magic/Hybrid WS DD (BST, RDM, SAM, NIN, etc) in the main group. The healing in climbs is practically non-existent, you get healed every floor. Bring panas/remedies and take care of yourselves, since you're so bent on being the stars of the show.
Nevermind, yall aint about to bring an EXTRA body to your group and reduce efficiency by a millisecond. we talking about doing 99999 on every ws, who am i kidding (i do all the damage, while you peasants heal ME!) Something i was wondering
If the GEO was the Fisherman and aggro everything Would they still need to Dispelga / Curaga? Omniman said: » Something i was wondering If the GEO was the Fisherman and aggro everything Would they still need to Dispelga / Curaga? Aggro is not the same as being on the enmity list. They need to perform a hostile action towards the monster, but it can be indirect (healing a person who IS on the hate list). So GEO who aggros everything still needs to tag for offensive Geomancy to take effect.
Asura.Wotasu said: » As soon as someone else claims/Lullaby the mob he aggroed but didnt tag, the bubble would have 0 effect. I'm not even quite sure if the bubble has any effect on merely aggro alone, but it would be easy to test. Indi-Poison, aggro something and check their health. If it never ticks down, Geomancy never activates until you are hostile towards enemy. But I actually never checked this to confirm, so I am not sure. I could also be wrong here, but I think spikes effects damage done to an enemy (i.e. Ice Spikes) DO put you on an enemy's hate list, since the damage came from you. Anyone know for sure? (In such a case, GEO could pull with Indi-Barrier/Ice Spikes, and so long as they get hit once by enemy, they are auto-tagged. Theory though) I was kinda thinking the same thing Buukki
If that worked Could have the BRD stack the GEO with Knight's Minne And gift them a Miso Ramen On top of Protect V / Phalanx II Can't see them going down without a fight Fairly positive that until an action is taken on an enemy you're not on a hate list outside of the odd cases like ambu or sortie bosses where everyones automatically on the list, spike dmg wont get you on the list, nor will aggro.
/heal (*) will do it (although you have to be close enough to the monsters for them to register you healing and aggro to it), or a cure on someone that does an aoe move on them
2026 and people still struggle with how to tag multiple mobs for bubbles lol
That's exactly why i asked
Had a few runs were the GEO Just put down bubbles and called it a day You go from being OP to GIMP Faster than you can say Geo-Malaise Not every has been playing for 20+ years 24/7 Like you and hya I believe spikes are hateless else you wouldn't be able to supertank with repose up (unless it's special for some reason)
You make a setup that uses 5 support jobs to buff 1 dd, you will get players that are used to doing below bare minimum.

Next week I'll time a run > 5/5
But I don't think 5 random players Would join or come back for more If it was any slower If so maybe players actually like this content More than there letting on? You must have been home schooled You don't understand grade school math How can 3 party members doing upward of 99999 damage Be slower? That has to be Amnesty based off his writing style. Let me block that account too.
