Cloud of Darkness HTBF
By Dodik 2025-01-09 08:43:17
Most jobs, mages especially for sleep/silence, will want an all elements resist piece, of which only carrier's sash provides dark/light resistance that mages can wear.
New waist piece doesn't give that, and using warders+null belt means dropping dark/light elemental resistance.
Neck should really have meva on it.

Will the belt fit into new idle options for some jobs like WHM?
WHM, GEO, and SMN all benefit from this stuff a lot for melee sets. I hope the drop rate is not horrible because I really want to melee whm more!

Ear slots can fill in for Dark/Light for a net gain. I use a Pluto's pearl in my Aminon sets for that very reason.

High acc + macc might be good for using /BLU spells with chain affinity for making easy SCs

Absorbs feed him TP and you really just need 1 dark/light resist for 99.99% of content.

no clue what to put as Home Point since you need to goto Dem, Holla, taghroni crystal tele/warps.... maybe i should leave this to the professionals lol

Just put Dimensional Ring? Remove the Home Point part, the format doesnt have to be followed to a T if theres no Home Point.

I would just put Home Point:N/A, there really isn't any worth using over dimensional ring or other travel options.

Make your Home Point as The Garden of Ru'Hmet. From there, you take the elevator down, and there's a Dimensional Portal right there that takes you to Reisenjima Sanctorum. :)

Yeah, good use case, along with stuff like landing spells with phys/magical checks (e.g., Sudden Lunge).
Also fantastic for WS with additional effects, like Tachi: Ageha or Armor Break to reduce resists on the def- effect.

Is that faster than Dimensional ring (which everyone has), enter reisen, port to 6, enter sanctorium?

About the same, you zone 3 times for each I think, but the ring method you might have a couple more button clicks

Prob also worth mentioning that Cumulus Masque +1 teleports you to Reisenjima, directly outside of the Sanctorium. 20 hour cooldown so you'll only get to do this once a day, but it's a nice little time saver for that single trip.

With congestion, Asura players are only getting on once a day anyways, so the mask is perfect!

Dimensional Portal right there that takes you to Reisenjima Sanctorum. :)
This saves you running from Reisen #6 to the sanctorum and down the stairs to the entrance, so is faster than ring.

No idea what happened here, this was on normal, I was on PLD, but I was not using the PLD empy body, it's not even in my gearswap. That was just an auto-attack. If anyone can clarify would appreciate it otherwise just slamming it here for a wtf moment.
By Kaffy 2025-01-09 13:33:16
Was anyone healing it (had it used Priomordial Surge)?

VD.
Dropped with 5 adds out. Wasn't 1 of each. 2 humes and no taru.
galka Spharai plague
hume Amano mab down
taru Apoc encumbrance
mithra Kikoku avoidance down
elvaan with bravura attack down
attack down took me from 2485 attack to 879. unsure if it's static or a percentage.
Adds can be Nitro slept and you just move the cloud away from them so it's pretty free. The cloud of darkness can be slept also.
I finaled nether void from the cloud but it reapplied it. we didn't have a drk with us.

You can get more than one add even on VE. I have cleared it twice now on VE and got two adds the first time and three the second. The type of add appears to be chosen at random.

Pretty nice to see "decent" drop rates.
Gives me hope they will one day fix Shinryu ones.

It'll get e-mainted by end of day to be the correct drop rates
(Because if not, you'll all have all 4 drops and start bitching tomorrow)
((You'll be bitching tomorrow either way, but bitching and still going, or bitching and not going))
This is probably a dumb new-player question, but how difficult have the VD versions of the last couple HTBF's been? How do their progs compare to something like V25 Bumba or Crystal Paradise?
