New games suck... or is it just me?
Carbuncle.Nynja said: » This is why I keep saying to wait for the shareholder reports, because theres no way factually state what the sales are. I wouldnt even consider whats written by the journos to be factual, because they'd very easily lie to the general public. The shareholder reports are where the real numbers come out. Well after all of Ubisoft's *** "1 bajillion players. 2 bajillion players. 5 bajillion players!! Thank you for playing our game" posts on social media, the ACTUAL sales numbers came out. How did those numbers look? ![]() So *** bad their stock cratered nearly 19% Why didn't you post the actual numbers?
You missed the joke because they didnt release the numbers, but you were too lazy to actually look it up yourself and post the numbers.
They gave the same *** report wordsalad slop to their shareholders and thats why their stock cratered. It seems like you are just trying to salvage a loss you are taking in regards to all the lies you and Godfry posted about AC: Shadows. Have fun with your struggles.

Have fun with your struggles. Openly laughing at being accused of coping again. Remembering every time I have been accused previously I was basking in victory, and today is no different. I forgot to include RA though, my bad there. I'll fix that now. Every single thing that Nynja, Godfry, and RA have said about Shadows being a failure turned out to be a complete and utter lie. As evidenced by Nynjas link, the game saved Ubisoft. They will continue to make games at their own leisure, taking no directives from minority stockholders. Enjoy your loss kids. You deserve it. Viciouss said: » As evidenced by Nynjas link, the game saved Ubisoft. This is not "saving Ubisoft" lmao ![]() Absolutely delulu. Anyways, because he needs numbers, the ESTIMATED numbers, estimated because these clowns at Ubisoft refused to put out pitiful numbers for their shareholders, are: PS5: 1.7 million copies sold since launch (2 months). PC: 367K copies sold on Steam in the first two weeks—after which sales plummeted so hard, it became difficult for game analytics to gather accurate data. Xbox: No exact numbers, but it’s the worst-performing among the three platforms. So, let’s be generous and assume it matches PC 367K copies sold. Quote: Nu thats a conspiracy SE put out their shareholder report recently as well, guess what DIDNT happen?
Their stock didnt crater. It actually went up, a lot, at opening, and then went down a bit stabilizing at %2.39 up on the day. You want a new game that doesn't suck? They finally got one right. Play Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I haven't had a game give me vibes like this since the 90's. I hope this is the start of a new trend in game creation.
wonder if it will be a one hit wonder for them

The awkward angles, snap zoom in/out, dancing, rumble ect. I wasn't expecting the camera to be the cause for not liking the battle system. I would definitely try this if there was a way to enable static battle camera. Seun said: » Quetzalcoatl.Wakmidget said: » Play Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. You can disable that, it's inside the accessibility options. I guess it's supposed to assist with hints for dodge / parry system, but I think it causes more confusion. I don't mind having to interact with the real time elements. I still want to keep that, I just don't want the camera darting around and shaking. I'll check into it though, thanks.

YouTube Video Placeholder the rapid fire questions at 1hr mark are prob the best part Just listening how they put their team together and how decisions were made, it's crazy. Like exact opposite from the current meta of big budget AAA game production companies using formulaic structure to milk money from their consumer base. These guys just wanted to make a super awesome game they were passionate about. And LMFAO how the lead writer / voice actress / localization manager got hired, yes that's a single person. Maybe the stock market is wrong? Maybe Ubisoft got hard.
Hey guys
Whats goin on with Bungies Marathon? Something about its art is trending worldwide. Dark Ages OST doesnt hit the same. Bethesda really *** up by doing Mick Gordon dirty.
I hate how something does well, and every game dev just copies and grinds it into the dirt till everyone sick of it. Currently it's parry mechanics, they are shoving it into everything. parry parry parry, they even put it into doom now.
Square Enix are still stuck in the "everything has to be an action game" mindset, even when it's obviously not working and alienates many in their fanbase. The more Square try to improve (for investors) the worse they get. I really think XIV broke SE, the game failing as hard as it did completely ruined them and their investors. It destroyed their confidence and faith in their fanbase, and it was all their own fault because XIV was supposed to be made for XI players to move to (they stated the money that was put for XI to be updated for a ps3 version was used to make xiv) and it was nothing like it. All they had to do was upgrade the engine and graphics, but they had to fart around. Even though the game eventually turned around, it still irreversibly damaged the company cause it pushed the balance of power to the investors. This thread reached page 100.
This could be a reason to celebrate, if it wasnt just a tragedy reaching this mark New Doom game has very low steam CC user numbers compared to the other 2, not surprised.

If this game got into DEI controversy, anti-woke would tell you this game failed because of DEI. Now they need another explanation for the failure. Let me brainstorm an excuse here, maybe because those AAA dev aren't "passionate(!?)" in this case? Lol. Oe no.
