I was replying to the guy a couple posts up asking if a new xiview was already available, and to all the others that came to the various discords saying "please new xiview, please, my daughter is starving, please".
Anyway, Kenshi just updated his xiview so go check it out.

Maybe it wasn't a RDM native buff? I cannot think of a buff that was not extended by composure.
Read the patch notes carefully. It's not about Composure, it's about `Set: Augments "Composure"`

I updated, logged in, grabbed a moglophone, then crashed to desktop. Hope this isn't a new problem!

Fonts / Menus are a different dat file and are loaded into the game before windower initialized the lua addons. Status icons are loaded when your character logs in which is after addons like XIPivot load. If you are using XIPivot for dynamic dat loading then you will get the default Menu/Fonts but keep the newer status icons.

They messed with menus and I think this is why I crashed after I reinstalled my XiView.
Probably don't want to use your current XiView file.
(I went to set RoEs and promptly crashed as soon as I tried to open the Quests menu.)
They added Vana'bout to its own section of the quest menu, current version of XI View (mine) will likely crash you instantly upon accessing it

Disabling XIPivot fixed the crashes.

No, I've been talking with some people working on the Master Trial that came out in February. That one doesn't even have a clear yet. It seems over-tuned, even with the nerf this update. I can't image what Wing of War will be like.
