Mastery Rank Data
Some definitely more difficult than others. Low stock. NM drops. No npc sales.
Plan ahead. Pre stock. No worries. Quote: Sorry for the wait on this one! You can now check a chocobo's digging proficiency by referring to its Wing Skill. This skill is processed internally within the game and is not displayed in the status window. As such, its level increases will be shown in the chat log, and you can also check the chocobo's current Wing Skill level at any time by speaking to the chocogals located in the chocobo stables in San d'Oria, Bastok, or Windurst. ...not really sure why they couldn't just put it back in the packet. Thanks SE! ...now, when we can expect job adjustments for Beastmaster :)

Terrible update! Carbuncle.Maletaru said: » Very few recipes in vet are impossible or even challenging and they offer a huge bonus to GP. It also increases the number of days (average) where you're earning good GP and not trash 3.6k. I *** jinxed it
https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Dexterity_Potion Wiki doesnt even list how many I'll need because no one bothers with this ***when it rolls around (ffxiah item comment states 15). Water Crystal Distilled Water Dried Mugwort <- LOL yeah have fun getting 16 of these (15+1 for break insurance) Rafflesia Vine Honey Sweet William <- If Vollbow is beastmen controlled, you're cooked Carbuncle.Nynja said: » I *** jinxed it https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Dexterity_Potion Wiki doesnt even list how many I'll need because no one bothers with this ***when it rolls around (ffxiah item comment states 15). ffxiclopedia thinks 14.55 concurring with the item comment's 15, but you might wanna make sure that's the updated value (which is higher) and not the original value (because then you'd only need, what, 5? 8? I forget if it was 2x but I think it was 3x) Did anyone create an addon to monitor titles? I found Title Checker but thats for ashita.

I forget if it was 2x but I think it was 3x) I could also UNM farm NM's that I know drop it (theres actually quite a few: Arthro, Vedr, Borealis, Tiya, Thub, Imperator, Largan, Jill), but again the juice just not worth the squeeze. The *** disappointment when the NPC just shows a skill number, and both skill silks don't lead to any notification in game about getting skill up points.
My wing skill is 85. Edit: Now to see how long until the next level up: Mine is 100, but y'all missed an opportunity to cap out in half an hour: http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/polnews/news27627.shtml
Is 100 the cap? I'm A25 which should have been rank 9/11 but my wing skill was only 65.

Load up, chat to the title NPCs, then //titles missing export shows what you have left. So some useful advice for those hunting cemetery cherry, I got it on my first serious attempt at claiming it. The saplings spawn among the 2 packs of beetles at H/I-8/9. 2 of them spawned in the corridor leading to those beetles. The tree itself spawns exactly where the corridor exits to the beetles. Time of death: 2:52PM PDT on Asura
Finally hit 8 after getting 20 "wing" skill. Definitely worth taking advantage of the campaign.
Is there a guide with tips and basic instructions on how to start Choco Digging from scratch?
I seem to remember reading something of the sorts linked in this thread many months ago. You can raise and race a chocobo and stuff to make it more efficient but if you haven't already done that the campaign makes such a big difference especially at low lvls I'd just rent a chocobo and go at it.
buy a few stacks of Gysahl greens, /dig, move between digs, keep going until you reached your daily limit of successes (100 base if renting, potentially more from raising your chocobo or from certain items) Which zones are you doing for Digging? Did K.Drifts while waiting for Sortie and was going like 1/10 for items.
Yeah like, I do have a raised chocobo I did aeons ago, should I use that or a rented one?
Which zones to start with? And I remember there were some items you could buy to improve chocodigging? And I also remember there was a hot and cold quest you could do once a day, beyond the 100 daily limit. There's Chocobo Rope in Ordelle's Treasure Caskets (from mobs) but you're thinking of the Sky Blue Silks for 150 Chocobucks: https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/S._Blue_Race_Silks and the Chocobo Hot and Cold Game also exists, yes, separate from regular digging entirely: https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/The_Chocobo_Hot_and_Cold_Game (bg has like zero deets on it, lol) edit: as for zones, I have no idea if it matters, I've always used one of the Sarutabarutas or Passhow Marshlands regular/[S], because they're very easy to just run aimlessly around in. RELATED to chocobo digging: testing some stuff on a fresh new character, and has anyone gotten a Wing Skill Up (now that they're visible) on digging up Conquest Points or anything like that, rather than an item? I did not. Small sample size, but still curious to me. edit2: ![]() well that answers that 18mins in, got Wing Skill from 1 to 10 in East Saruta.
Funny thing, which is totally a coincidence but still I found it funny Took me 8 successful digs to get from skill 6 to 7 Took me 9 successful digs to get from 7 to 8 Took me 10 successful digs to get from 8 to 9 Took me 11 successful digs to get from 9 to 10 XD How do you tell when you've reach your daily digs limit? Do you get a message or you simply don't dig items anymore? It resets at JP midnight I assume, right? 14 digs for 10 to 11 13 digs for 11 to 12 15 digs for 12 to 13 :p You simply don't succeed anymore, like fishing fatigue.
And yes, it resets at JP midnight (so just over an hour from this post because of DST.) There's an addon called "digger" that tracks for you, by the same person who made "fisher": https://github.com/svanheulen/digger-windower-addon/tree/master If you don't want to keep count yourself, that is! Think I've reached the daily cap, after 30 successive unsuccessful digs.
~100 successful digs Blue Chocobo with unknown stats ~35 mins (thanks to the campaign!) Skilled up from 1 to 13 ~340 total digs Taint said: » Which zones are you doing for Digging? Did K.Drifts while waiting for Sortie and was going like 1/10 for items. spamming outside the starter city zones seem best for skillups, i'm 76 now and just spam starter zones most of the time as get items more often. This event is great. Wing lvl13. At lvl10 the Dig rate went way up. Took 16 successful digs to go from 12-13.
The Egg Helm is coming back in a week:
![]() It adds a noticeable amount of trash eggs to the digging pool - as in "you get an item more often per dig". So yeah, pick that up if you care. There's also an unverified report on ffxiclopedia that you can dig up the eggs beyond the daily fatigue cap, and now skillups are visible, so I might do some testing there... and then I'd have to test Goblin Diggers too... yeah I probably won't, huh. |
