The cost to open coffers caps at 8 izzats (-7)

You opened 80 coffers? damn XD
62 but we hit the cap at 50, same as chests. Strongboxes cost 18 izzats to open now (13 opened), the cap could be 10 izzats (-10)

might be just a coincidence but with MM8 snd 52 chests and 2 coffers I decied to go back to soloing on monk for a bit, in two runs I opened 6 chests using 5 izzaz each and got 6 coffers in a row that I couldn't open at all because the coffers still costed 15 izzaz. Was that just a very lucky coffer-appearance streak? In the runs i did on THF I rarely ever saw coffers appearing from keys and the time i go on a job that can't use keys I get all coffers back to back even 3 coffers from 3 chests on the same floor?
Or is opening with 5 points instead of keys a super high chance of upgrade?

Papesse already answered your question on previous page.
Yes, getting to cap on chest improves the odds of getting Coffer.
Getting to cap on Coffers increase the chance for getting Strongbox.

If you cap everything you will probably have a high chance of getting strongbox by opening with Izzat, but you will still probably need 23 Izzat for that, since cap for Izzat cost is 5 for chest, 8 for Coffer and following that pattern 10 for Strongbox.

So far, I've gotten 89 boxes out of 119 chests.
The chests drop into 3 slots, meaning each slot has a 25% chance to be a box. Note that, we don't know if going up in "Chest rank" increases box drop rate along with reducing cost and increasing coffer spawn rate, but it is a possibility.
I haven't opened many coffers, so I'm interested in seeing if somebody has data on box drop rate from coffers.
Essentially, I'd like to know if it's better to save up 23 iz to open a chest/coffer/strongbox or just open 4 chests. We know stongboxes can stiff you of large boxes, but I also got 2 larges the one time I was able to open one lol. I assume there's a payday somewhere in one of our futures with 3 larges from one strongbox.

Ok my last currency post since I think we got enough data now.

Two solid runs, some mimics some coffers, some coffers that turned into mimics but nothing crazy. Had a really good box to chest drop rate.
Code
Friday
Run #1
S.Box	19
Single	35
Total:	322
Run #2
S.Box	18
Single	42
Total:	316

And here is my "Status report".

Nostos: 40
Chests: 250
Coffers: 17
Strongboxes: 2
MMII

So keying chests doesn't add much to the MM level, which seems to be a points system of some sort. Doesn't matter, I'm Solid Snake up in there.

Spawned a Mimic, got trust on it, died from a different mob away from it. RRed, proceeded to go on with my run and got drawn back in? What?

Did you happen to run past it within its aggro range? Mimics will remain aggressive to whoever popped it, and you still need to maintain whatever distance away from them to avoid being pulled back in.

I was as far away as I could be, it was in a shitty spot even with hugging the walls, I might have been within 20 yalms though. Ya, I died 30+ yalms away in a corner.

Mimics mantain some form of hate on the keyer and if you walk within 20' from them even with s/i up, they will draw you back in. Make them really annoying when they block a narrow path and basically end your run.

That's shitty. I thought any hate was kiboshed if you died from something else. Oh well.

Thats why you need to go furthest from the flux > closest to the flux. If you do that it mitigates ending your run.

I found having a second account present to vastly increase my chances of not blowing a run early. My WHM mule, who usually stays near the entrance / exit is responsible for tractoring / raising me if I screw up.

Got Moogle Mastery 9 on the 48th NM I killed, one of many repeated ones after already getting all unique ones before VII:
Moogle Mastery IX
48 NMs (all unique nm's)
1020 Nostos
73 chests
3 coffers

my previous stats were
Moogle Mastery VIII
36 NMs (all unique nm's)
751 Nostos
16 chests
2 coffers

Moogle Mastery VII
31 NMs (all unique nm's)
651 Nostos
4 chests

so I still think it's a point system rather than gating, and NMs are just worth the most so often a level up happens with the, but I got a levelup on a chest and one on a nostos before too.

So, what does Moogle Mastery do? At 8 so far but, I see nothing different.

Nothing on BG and I couldn't find anything using the search function.

It's on BG.

Boosts trusts damage: aka it does nothing.

Quote:
It is currently unknown at this time how this specifically boosts Trusts, as it doesn't increase their HP/MP as per +Level, but it is thought to increase their Base Stats and/or their Derived Stats by increasing amounts by tier.

I wouldnt say it does nothing; its possible it increases their survivability in general, and tank trust enmity generation.

Good for players not geared to their ***.

Sylvie took 92/184/370 damage from 1000/2000/4000 Needles (7 targets) at MMXI, I don't know if she has innate DT- though.

Im a little confused Papesse. I have 50 coffers opened and the cost to open them with Izzat was 10. Is it because I had few ppl in party who were at 40+? I tho you said you lowered the cost to 8?

Weird, yeah they cost us 8 izzats to open and I'm positive it started at 50 coffers. If you need to open more coffers then it would mean there are other factors/requirements. Being in group shouldn't matter, each participant has their own coffer cost reduction/MM rank.

Got Moogle Mastery 10 on the 55th NM I killed, on a solo run with no chests opened that ended with 57 nms and 1168 nostos.
Moogle Mastery X
55 NMs (all unique nm's)
1145 Nostos
103 chests
7 coffers
1 aurum

That was my mistake. I had 49 opened XD

It dropped down to 8 from 10 when I opened 50th. It was never at 9 tho.

This is probably a dumb question but BGwiki shows only 16 NMs and alot of these posts say unique NMs 32 or 48? Can you pop mobs not listed on the wiki?
