That's the part that sucks.
You have 5 minutes of capped haste with mighty Guard, then 5 minutes of just haste 2. You can get a few minutes at the end with another MG, this is assuming you don't use Tearing Gust during aura (not worth it imo)

Has anyone encountered any issues with kaustra dot not ticking on bumba v25? We've had now 3 instances where kaustra does the initial damage (up to 99k) but the dot isn't kicking in.

Any help on that issue would be greatly appreciated since it adds even more grief to the already heavily rng dependent fight.

Are you sure it did damage and didn't heal him? If it heals him, there won't be a DOT

Yes, the damage from the initial kaustra cast drops its HP but nothing happens after.

I don't know then. I never had that happen. As far as I know Kaustra is undispelable. It will instantly wear off if the party dies though.

Yeah this happened to us last February when we were trying to clear it. We thought (and by no means are sure and cannot confirm WHY this may occur but it definitely can occur) that either Bumba swapped elements to darkness after it landed for us (and thus the dot effect was somehow negated), or Bumba chose darkness element but strangely kausra will still actually do damage to it upon landing, but the DoT effect is negated. There is something to this, it happene dto us last january/february at least once.

Here is a later part of the vid where the DOT was stuck at 71%. At 9min remaining we started the second skillchain and suddendly the first kaustra seems to start ticking and doing 4% damage during the skillchain.

We can't really see an element change but it would be the only reasonable explanation?
We've been also thinking if there is a maximum amount of debuffs you can land on a mob?

That was our best guess too at the time.

Honestly, I chalk this whole BS up to a poorly designed fight and this occurence is just another BS aspect of the fight in general.

Edit: Just because I know someone is going to ask this eventually.

I noticed on the Odyssey page on BG it says in each A-C, GEO bubbles are nerfed to some extent, but nowhere does it say anything about in Gaol, which was my understanding. Are they in fact also nerfed in Gaol, and if so, how much? Sorry if it’s been answered somewhere in the mass of pages, I searched for it but couldn’t find anything without having to sift through 250 pages. Thanks!

I'm going by memory here, but I believe the bubble nerf in Gaol varies by vengeance level.

Yes from V1 to V15 it increases, but after that it stops. We know this because it's been shown to be -75% at V20 then again at V25.

SU5-C is the ideal weapon, but it should be possible with Othas or similar. Cor assistant for beast/companion is also helpful

Edit, and very important - this is only good up to v24 Xevioso. v25 takes 0 damage from automaton melee swings, so you don't get TP fast enough to 94% it before overdrive wears

For instance me and Aerix theorycrafted something in the PUP forum here about doing Xevioso and Arebati on V25 with Overdrive.

If you can get an average WS dmg of ~12k, then it should be enough damage for your automaton to deal slightly above 5% and hence get RP.
Keep in mind you need to swap 1 maneuver if Fetters spawn, to reduce the damage taken by the automaton to almost zero thanks to steam jacket.

tl;dr doing V25 RP solo on PUP is imho not realistical unless you can bring a COR mule for Companion's roll and Beast Roll.
Without that you can try, it might be doable but it's quite a gamble and I honestly don't see it happening, especially without Xiucoatl (SU5 weapon).

We had a 1% wipe yesterday that left a really bad taste in my mouth. Today, we started with 3 obnoxious KI 1's that barely went sub 70%, then the 4th we got him to 46% (lots of procs, lowest we've ever gotten him in KI 1).

We started KI 2 at 48% I believe, had good auras for both pre and post 40%, and our COR rolled a 6, all of this on darksday. We finished with right around 5 minutes left on the clock.

Think it's appropriate to acknowledge we stand on the shoulders of giants. Thanks to all who pioneered strats and were gracious enough to post their findings and discoveries along the way.

Tried Gravehaunter on SMN cause I figured it would help avoid charm and observed some odd behaviour.

Engaged with valaineral, koru, sylvie, ulmia and monbro, distanced myself to around ~20-22 yalms, pushed his HP down to around 50-60% with ramuh and noticed he started regen.
I don't know why but he did NOT spawn his pets. I went in melee range to make sure they didn't spawned somewhere outside of rendering range.
Sofar I thought the SP and aura mechanics of Shoel B NMs are closely tied to pet spawn.

Without the pets there is no way to remove the regen, which I noticed is also a issue for other regen aura NMs since pets despawn when NM goes idle due to player death or charm.
Valaineral eventually got one shot. Didn't catch what it was, suspect too many memento mori stacks but his spells on myself hurt less than his melee hits.

Then I figured I'd try AF/AC and the very moment I used AF Gravehaunter answered with charm, could be coincidence but it felt like it was triggered by me using 1hour.
The charm wore befor AF dropped so I was able to resummon and continue with AC. Went for siren despite corse having 50% pierce dmg resistance (siren does deal pierce dmg, right?) cause of HP drain.
Since the hysteric assaults landed for maybe 2k each I'm wondering if astral conduit is also nerfed for NMs in shoel A-C or if the charm screwed something up which made me bloodpact spam in the wrong set.



On a side note, imho Moogle Mastery level is only realy interesting for solo players so I don't understand why SE decided to make certain NMs, coffers or aurum strongboxes that are luck based or simply not solo able for most players a requirement for MM level ups.

Did anyone put together Mboze kiting strat with gravity and silence?

It seems like it'd be copy/paste from tribulex, but there might be something I'm missing with no sub jobs being a factor.
