Redmage Dark Matter Augs

Hi all,

With the DM campaign approaching, I was wondering what gear is good to aim for on a fairly fresh 99 rdm.

What are you fav pieces or what are you going for?

Refresh hands/feet are always good for idle.

I've never really looked into how much phalanx+ gear helps, but I see those augments all the time.

Utility sets are reasonable to aim during a campaign. By reasonable i mean a non-THF TH set when solo farming, a refresh+2 set for slots you dont have any. A rarer utility augment but nice to have is phalanx up to 5.

Once you fill the utility set you can aim for a WS set (with WSD+10), MAB MACC Melee set, etc. There are too many options so a good thing to do is to first see what available gear is out there that will beat even DM agumented gear (for example, Jhakri body has 4 refresh what DM will never get close so thats one slot you shouldnt invest on that particular stat). For WSD pieces, check what reforged has a similar augment and dont invest on that piece, and so go on.

After you fill the utility set, which is reasonable to aim, anything else is just to satisfy a gambler addiction to spin a roulette as BiS gear from DM is very unlikely.

Regarding potential augments, is it possible for Colada to have +10% enhancing duration?

Bgwiki says the max is 4% with a Fern stone.

also, enhancing duration isn't in the list of possible augments for dark matter.
although i don't know if that list has been written down anywhere.

Colada doesn't need dark matter to get enhancing duration. I'm not sure if can get enhancing duration on weapons that don't have it with dark matter.

Maybe I misread his question completely and if that's so I apologize, but I thought he was asking if "enhancing magic duration" aug is present among the DM ones for Colada, because if it is then it likely has a higher cap than it normally has with Fern Stones (4%, for reference)

Thinking about it... I've done a fair number of aug attempts trying for phalanx+ on colada, but I'm not sure I've ever see enhancing duration on it from DM augs. That said, I wasn't looking for it either, and I already have a 4% one, so... It could have passed by without notice. Now, if I saw a 5% or higher, that would have got my attention, so I'm confident I've not seen that. Although, my "fair number of attempts" isn't enough to exclude the possibility.

Yeah I should’ve specified if anyone has been able to get a DM augment beyond 4% on Colada.
