This right here is why I can tell alot of people weren't around during the old days. Salvage duping got alot of people banned for just buying. I'm glad to see an OG around still.
Difference is they weren't "just buying", they were present when the dupe happened.

it's how a ton of people back then made entire sets of Ares, Marduk, etc so quickly while other people complained all the time about *** drop rates.

You had to be in the zone, in the party to get duped salvage gear.
Very different than picking up a medal(s) for a "steal" from a rando.

Pretty sure there was no stopping repeating floors either, so wouldn't be surprised if salvage v2 floor repeating was common as well. I was a legit noob back then, so I have no idea about the latter.

Imagine buying an account because you got banned today then logging on after maint and finding that its banned because the seller duped and got rid of the medals to another alt.

I've been out of the game for a few months due to RLBS, and come back to BST heartbreak and this steaming pile...
I don't want the steps for how to do this.
Someone please tell me if it is possible to do so accidentally with a vanilla client tho.. I would probably break my TV by throwing my laptop at it if I got banned by accident as soon as I come back after a break. XD
(I've read enough of the thread to know that it's been around for a long time, so I'm 99/99992% safe if I'm not actively trying to get myself banned.. I just want reassurance ._.)

@Negan/Eiryl/Elidyr: Thanks. XD So, it's more of a hack than an exploit.. I figured it was that sort of thing else EVERYONE would have run into it already with just normal play, but peace of mind is a wonderful thing.
