Where The Wild Things Are
I just hope they don't mess up this movie, it is one of the best classic books out there.
Now I learned something new and so did Korpg.
Ya we watched it after reading the book. I couldn't say for sure it was the same title. @ALY Don't you get fresh with me! Lilbusta said: Now I learned something new and so did Korpg. The movie was called "A Cry In The Wild" Thank you very much for that information Krizz.
From the previously linked wiki page:
Quote: Film adaptations Hatchet was made into a TV movie in 1990 entitled A Cry in the Wild. Well it was just as good as the book, but missing small stuff that most book-to-movies do.
Wild Things won't miss much since they gotta add to it to make it 60-90min long. Rowland said: Caiyuo said: Rowland said: I have one word for all of your children's books. Tikki-tikki-tembo-no-sa-rembo-chari-bari-ruchi-pip-peri-pembo. Similar to what Rictor said, our generation that loved the book as kids is now the main movie-going demographic so it makes sense that they'd come back with something like this. I wouldn't mind a live-action Little Nemo in Slumberland right about now, though! That movie scared the ***out of me. I had nightmares for months. But it was awesome anyway. "pajama, Pajama, PAJAMA!" <3 Little Nemo Dream Master!
oh god I played that game so much haha. Free Mega Man sticker?! o0 Do Want!!!1
that game looks so good, i missed out!
LoL I haven't played that game in ages, me and my brother beat that game.
haha, nice, Liquidz! Must rally the forum around this NES classic.

Shows how a young teen survives in the wild using nothing but brains to do so. they did make this into a movie, quite a few times actually. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_of_the_Wild_(disambiguation) Korpg said: The Hatchet = Call of the Wild Both were written by the same author, they renamed it to "The Hatchet" after the first edition. Erp. Actually, now that I think on it, wasn't Call of the Wild written by Jack London? And about a dog named Buck who struggled in the harsh northern wild until he finally listened to his deeper instincts and joined up with wolves at the end? Hatchet was a book by Gary Paulsen about a boy whose plane crashed in the middle of nowhere and had to live off the wild with nothing but a hatchet until he was rescued. For the nature dorks, ever see BBC's Planet Earth series?!

No, Gary Paulsen wrote a book called "Call of the Wild" (which was The Hatchet) which was renamed "The Hatchet" after the first edition was published. I'm not sure if it was a Publisher mistake or an Author mistake. It was renamed because "Call of the Wild" title was taken, but nobody noticed until after the first edition was published. So, having the first edition is very rare (I'm not sure how many was released and recalled, but I have a 1987 edition "Call of the Wild" by Gary Paulsen). This was before people realized the mistake and got it changed lol Oooh. That's a bit of trivia I didn't know :D The title would make sense though, had it not been taken by another VERY epic author.
Have you read Gary's other books, though? I have one called "Guts" which is his own autobiographical explanation of how he came to write all the Brian books. It's extremely interesting, and I am FREAKING scared of moose, now. :( Azura said: LOL, now that you think about it or now that you quote it? Best Arcade Fire Song in trailer I = /psych'd I thought that was her voice in the commercial they've been showing recently, but figured it was waaay too random to be. That's awesome. lol
you know whats funny is the book is "Bad kid > sent to bed no dinner > dream to have fun > goes home > wakes up > woohoo dinner.
i dout the movie is any different, 20 minutes of a bratty kid telling him mom he will eat her. sent to his room in a calm nomn spanking way, dreaming abount a world he wants. then waking up and she still gave in and gave him a hot meat, that little ***. or they take the whole bratty kid out and do like a never ending story type with the bullies chasing him... f this movie and 3 page book Asura.Cambriia
