Well I've always thought as it forgiveness is for yourself mostly. It doesn't mean you accept the misdeeds of others. It is just a way of moving on. Not dwelling on negative things.

And It’s not about undoing the perceived wrongdoings fone, It’s about one of three things: justification, pettiness, or the inability to process emotions towards the perceived wrongdoing.
