Trump going ahead with his visit to London is a seriously bad idea.

London is one of the most left-leaning cities in the UK and has no shortage of protestors who would just love to cause mayhem.

And he miss's yet again. Anjem wasn't jailed for hate speech but for attempting to incite violence, specifically he was recruiting for ISIS with the stated goal of inciting violence and killing people.

That being said, I'm against any forms of governmental control on speech, period end of story. People have a right endowed by their creator to be ***. They also have a right endowed by that same creator to speak their opinion without fear of retribution or coercion. If some Islamic radical wants to go around preaching hate and death, they should be perfectly free to do so. Trying to restrict that would only lend legitimacy to their rantings. The moment they actually commit or conspire to commit violence, now we have a problem.

And that's what makes American so great, our basic rights aren't given to us by the Government but by a higher power. This makes it extraordinary difficult for that Government to take away those rights. Ignorant fools like to ridicule those precious amendments, without realizing the amendments didn't grant any rights and instead merely outline and explain them. The very foundation of the country secured those rights and it took blood to do it.

Which is the absolute best reason to do so. What better way to gain popularity among his own supporters then to have lots of video footage of liberal SJW's doing their SJW thing. Then later whenever anyone in the UK Government says anything, at all, they just play back that footage with a "that's what these guys are saying". The left in the USA gives them a standing ovation, which just further reinforces the original goal and cements his own support.

The real problem who gets to define what is hate and what is not hate.

I can use that same argument to justify becoming Neo-Hitler and eradicating anyone from the planet I choose to. Arguing around tertiary effects is a very dangerous thing because you end up playing Six degrees to Keven Bacon. If someone taking a ***in Canada results in a serial killer being created, should we then create overreaching draconian government regulation to protect us from those evil shits? I can successfully argue for the suspension of all civil rights and immediate implementation of martial law, to protect you from those evil ***wielding Canadians.

This isn't a left vs right thing, though in the past few decades the left has overwhelming resorted to these tactics in the support of Communism. Any power, once in complete control, will immediately attempt to protect itself from removal using any means necessary. The people of a nation have no hope to fight within such a system because those who control the system will no longer care about those people. The best thing that could happen is the behemoths being locked in an eternal conflict which prevents either from assuming complete power.
