While I love Ryunohige's model, I actually think Valkyrie's Fork is the best looking polearm model. But let Umopepisdn get his two cents in before you decide.

I like the Ryu & Valkfork look also, the naginata style polearms are generally the best looking in the game. The Pulse one is my favorite even without the pulse effect.
I would say however Trishula is deffinately by far the most popular polearm atm.

In between weapons decided to try my luck with armor here is Chaos Cuirass still in progress. Also on a side note I honestly am stumped on how to add an AG to a weapon like Idris or Epeolatry. I have seen some old mod vid of added glow effects but not info as to the process unfortunately.

I must say Sequence has been my least favorite reskin so far a real pain in the *** do to its odd texture wrapping. Progress has been painfully slow but the blade is done

1 armor that would probably look amazing with your abilities would be the adhemar body. it's just crying for detail lol

They aren't completely wrong, there is no denying that the player base as shrunk. FFXI is gradually dying, but not fast enough that its going to matter for years to come. Asura still has high populations. Some server are indeed dead.
Still prior 2014-2015 there were many other active server which have now a steady decline in players. Also, everyone went to Asura since that's the most populated server now. For example, Quetz use to have 2000ish players online at peak in 2013 now in 2018 it barely has 200-300 players.
Don't get me wrong, love this game and probably will stick around untill the game dies.

How do I go about installing the megapack? Just downloaded but not sure what to do with it :(
Copy and merge the ROM folders in the ffxi install directory merge all folders that it prompts and overwrite all the dat files
