Having trouble here, getting an error saying the game's data has been updated and I must re download it even though I already have.

I'm not always, or even often, skill-chaining alone. I use evisceration when the time comes for it, but it's no where near 1/3 of all of my skillchains. Mandalic and Rudra's properties are better with the usual CORs and RUNs I play with. Offline

In most situations the difference between Evis and Rudra's shouldn't matter or you should be multi-stepping. With basically perfect gear for both WSs, I get about 40% superior damage with Rudra, so I can't agree with the difference not mattering. If you're killing things before the double darkness damage comes into play, I don't see how that 40% matters. You're holding tp too long if you see that much more damage and/or your evis set isn't as bis as you think it is. Basically firing WSs at as close to 1k as possible, not factoring in overflow from the round that gets me to 1k+, with Aeneas. Never seen even comparable damage between the two. I can post sets if needed, but I'm honestly not sure where the two are even close, at least considering Aeneas. Without it, I'd definitely understand. did a full verify files with POL, didn't fix the issue with logging in.
edit: full verify of FFXI files with POL I say that it will be SCH and SMN onry, based on 2 logical assumptions
1 its asura, everything is smn onry. 2 the aoe that dullahans do is insane for dd parties + shield blocks + intimidation reference; reisenjima t1 It could have a melee friendly gimmick, but being realistic here Asura.Ladyofhonor said: » Sylph.Oraen said: » Bismarck.Vize said: » are we 100% sure this month is gonna be sch and smn parties for ambuscade vol 1 is this a repeat of a previous month ?? Sure, if you're skillchaining, I get it, but 9/10 times I'm on THF it's a melee zerg and I'm solely focused on per-WS damage. Setting up multi-steps, the drop in per-WS damage is more than justifiable. Setting up multi-steps, the drop in per-WS damage is more than justifiable. I think that got lost in translation somewhere in the chain. The whole "evisceration should be 1/3 of your WS's used" was in reference to Evisc > Rudra > Rudra for solo multi-step. If you're not soloing DD, then yeah, it's Rudra's or Mandalic all the way. We have basically zero information on this month's ambuscade. Wait until we have information rather than clueless speculation. That's... kind of what I understood Vize to be asking. As in: "why did other people mention SCH or SMN, do they know because this is a repeat of an earlier ambuscade?" Answer: No, this month's Dullahan Vol.1 fight is not a repeat. So Orean is right that at this point it's all speculation. Eiryl said that the AF+3 hat is 11% WSD. I said maybe 1/5 of my WS are stacked, so it's not 6% WSD. He said 1/3 of all my WS should be evisceration. That's the crux of the conversation; nothing was lost in translation. He made a statement applicable only to solo-chaining times, and extrapolated it to all THF experience. THF hat isn't 11% WSD, and suggesting it is is wrong. Caerda said: » Someone is getting demoted to the FFXIV dev team for this screw up... WS dmg +6% on Rdm head? :/ I mean, it is still a great non-CDC WS piece, but I wasn't expecting them to take a direction like that with the head.
Personally, I was kind of hoping for something further related to enfeebling like Enfeebling Duration or maybe Potency to compliment the high Enfeebling Skill/Mnd (granted they already did this with feet, but Rdm could always use more!). In other jobs, poor Brd Relic +3 has been such a snoozefest so far. Hopefully they really deliver on the body for DD Brd at least. The Geo head is quite unexpected, finally an equipment piece that can enhance Radial Arcana!! I'd imagine it'd enhance Mending as well, but I've never merited/had a need for that JA myself.
