That's not too bad now isn't it?! A little sad they increased the price of Dwarf Pugils from 100 to 150. I was redeeming those.
Curious if the cap is still 4000 points.
Cuz Seals/Crests are still 10pts, and if there's a lower cap, that's really gonna mess with my "never getting a Kclub from UIA" vibe. ![]() I'm lazy mathing, but this looks like a lower cap. Its basically -700 points from the 14 days that are 50 points instead of 100 so unless its running 7 days longer you have fewer points to work with. It is interesting how they delay the 500 point day, that prevents you from just making new characters for log in points to spend on sendable items, combined with the lower carry over that should make it a lot safer for more interesting log in point items like the empy weapon mats and such again. That's really janky. They make this big hullabaloo for an oldcase+1
They could have just added it for 3k or 3500 and that'd be that. That's not too bad now isn't it?! Old Case +1 is also terrible. We already know the probability of getting a +2, much less one for your desired job, and even further less one with a high augment roll. They should have kept Impish Box in that reward tier. As this month is, there is nothing new in this "rework" of the Login campaign. They are all the same items we have been offered for months (years) but just with a different pricing structure. Would it truly have been so game-breaking to bring back Abyssea trophies? Put them on a rotation, one zone's per month, keep people logging in to get different Empyrean progress. Set them at something reasonable like 300 points each, so you can accumulate what you need over time (keeping you subscribed). The RMT shareholders of SE don't want you to get free aby items! They want you to pay their merc services! Duh!
The reward structure allows for 16 cases with 15 mules.
700+500+600 Every month you'll get 16 +1/+2 earrings. The cases can't be muled but the earrings can. That's more than 99% of you get DOING sortie. Big profit moves. Asura.Hya said: » Old Case +1 is also terrible. How? They're literally free and you literally get it just by playing the game semi-daily, just as you did before It's a little extra that you can get through your "loyalty card" for absolutely zero effort if you're playing And if you're not playing daily you likely don't care much about one extra earring roll per month (two if you login every single day, which we estabilished you don't in this second case) I'm a bit confused by this stance really, yeah it's not a bonanza weapon on login but it's an improvement from before in a way that makes sense and still gets you a little bonus for absolutely zero effort..! Lili said: » Asura.Hya said: » Old Case +1 is also terrible. One if you log in every day. Even with max carry-over, there are less than 3000 points in the November login campaign. I haven't spent my login points in literal months. Have gotten all of the old case+1 x3 rewards for all of the Vana Bout contests and they've resulted in nothing. They were complete wastes of my time. I'm expecting nothing from these as well, but at least I have a reason to walk to the Moogle and purchase them and the effort required is non existent. Probably won't bother logging in my two storage mules daily, though.

As someone who is relatively new into endgame, I think this is awesome for me. Login points really shouldn't be something that are game breaking, but from what I understand these +1/+2 earrings are a pain in the *** to begin with so a bonus roll at them per month is a decent gift. My two cents, anyways. I'd say the bigger issue is "were gonna completely revamp everything with the login campaign to make it more popular again, MLGA!!" and its all the usual things at slightly different price points and they added old case+1
Unless I mathed it wrong, the max points is 1800 without carryover? I am not in the slightest surprised by this, in fact I am more shocked it took them this long to do something so simple. People have been bitching about sortie earrings for years.
No one is forcing you to spend money on mule accounts for stuff like an old case +1. That's on you and your wallet. It's just smart business on their part, they found a way to target loads of people to do this and increase login frequency to spend points earned in game on a virtual item that will likely increase revenue from mule accounts being activated to abuse and increase chances at getting something worthwhile. Gachapon/game culture is strong. So can someone math the min and max without carry over points of data needed to login?
Acceptable missed days is what I am looking for. Its now 50 points per login? Then 100 per login after 16 logins? So a minimum of 18 logins? There is ~21 days with 1-2 of those being challenging? So you can potentially miss 2-3 days? Nov. 11 - 24 inclusive, Nov. 25, Nov. 26 - Dec. 2 inclusive. Calendar math makes my head hurt, I had to freakin' diagram it and you all were spared that only by merit of table wrangling being too much work. 700 points before the bonus. 700 points after the bonus. 700 points to carry over. Why isn't the bonus 700 points too? Lili said: » Asura.Hya said: » Old Case +1 is also terrible. How? For completely new endgame players who have no earrings at all, I can see the desire. But if they only have one or two jobs, they are very unlikely to get an earring for a job they play, much less an earring which also has good augments for a job they play. For endgame veterans who have been running Sortie for years at this point, they probably already have a plethora of +1 earrings for every job. So at this point, all you are rolling for is a +2 earring, which is a roughly ~2% chance. If we are forgetting how ***Sortie earring acquisition and augment rolls are, see some old posts. I agree it is a freebie that requires absolutely no effort to obtain, but one earring per month per character is not something to get excited about. There are far better rewards that could have come from Login Campaigns than this. What do we think the minimum time commitment is for logging in to all 16 characters
Assisted vs unassisted it's about 10 minutes to cycle all 16 IF they're logged out in the moghouse. (per cycle, so ~22 days makes it ~4 hours total)
Around double, if they're parked at the AH or in the mog garden. The killer part is the going to the moogle, menuing the box, opening the box, dboxing the earring if it's good. About a solid hour. Why isn't the bonus 700 points too? Hm. That could mean potentially 2000 points then, working on the Vana'bout timetable. I was treating each as just from Japan midnight. Though then that might mean an extra period on the 11th and then a narrow window to collect the 2nd. Which is... which is just a great way to do things. Like, come on. Everything else is based on the Japan midnight rollover, just center the campaign on that so it all makes sense without breaking out the corkboard and string. So, hey, sorry to get off track (no I'm not) but did anybody else notice a certain something missing from the planned adjustments on the version update? I don't think Archduke's Sword and Ilm set are getting put onto a storage slip this month, that sucks. Pretty sure event item storage NPC didn't want anything to do with them either. Guess that's just "screw you, inventory -6"? Kaffy said: » i bet itg loud thuds have old case +1, too. calling it now. Well the point of ITG is to reward players with desirable items. I'm not sure a consumable that rewards ~5k gil 99% of the time belongs here. +2 maybe. /yell Old case +2 - {Palbrough Mines} 999M OBO /tell
Kaffy said: » people would likely pay capped gil for a perfect +2 of the job they want, what's your point? Well you have to use the case(binding the earring to your character in the process) to see what it is. It's not like you could actually sell a perfect earring to someone, so I'm not actually sure what your point is. My point was essentially that a +1 case isn't a reward. |
