Anyone from texas getting connection issues or did we lose a node?

Im from TX and having issues, but so is my buddy from PA.

4 out of 6 people in my party (including me) just got booted from Sylph. Not in Texas.

Apparently its been a SE issue,Mutiple friends from England have sent me messages asking about if ive been able to get on today. SO far i have but i havent moved outside of town,More or less waiting for the storm to come<Going to be pulling everything powered out just to be safe.

For a minute I thought people here gave a ***that a hurricane is going to ravage Texas with its' wind and water shenanigans.

King, you need to keep the right perspective on this. On a scale from 1 to 10, 1 is no damage whatsoever and 10 is people can't play FFXI. Death and destruction are pretty bad, yeah, but what if you can't log in? What if you can't log in?!?

On another note you cant fix stupid but you can silence it with ductape,In hindsight people will most likely die from the storm from pure stupidity,Last time we had a major flood here in Houston a lady drove past 2 officers and a barricade and drowned inside her car underneath an underpass. A loss of life is a loss of life is sad either way,I cant control what others do i can control what i do. Spring north of houston,Theres the North(Dallas)vs The south(Houston) as far as football but i could care less about that. I just love the fact that its been 100+ in houston and snowing in dallas.It might as well be another state imo lol

Well, I care about the storm! I have family in Port Isabel and in the Houston area, plus I own a condo in Corpus Christi.

Although I personally may be high, dry, and snug in SoCal and able to play without any issues (didn't even d/c last night while I left an AFK bazaar up) the safety of my family and the safety of my investment is more important than FFXI ever will be.

Worst I will get is 35 inches of rain. At least, that's the current prediction.

Worst I will get is 35 inches (not meters, furlongs, milli-/centi-/deci-/kilo-whatever or any of that other form of measuring length that people outside the US uses, because I'm from the US and in this country, we use the MFing US measuring system, so if you don't like it, kiss my soggy bottom!) of rain.

It is possible Firedemon was alluding to the picture I posted (it is from Mortal Kombat and the character's name is RAIN and he looks like he is ready to pounce) hence making that big 'ol face to your comment that you were about to get 35 inches of Rain.

Or maybe I am reading too much into it and no one got my joke yet

It's texas, we long ago came to terms with the weather here. It's very rarely "nice". It's eather trying to freeze you, cook you, or drown you.
